Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH4 is showing system eror focus. How solve it ?

Can you tell exactly what is on the screen please. The system error focus is not supposed to be an real error that is displayed on your camera.
"System error" is possible. But if switching of and a few moments later switching on does not change the error on the dis[lay, you should contact a Panasonic certified repair centre.

THE AF AND MF ON THE LENS MEANS WHAT

AF=Auto Focus. With an autofusu capable body, the camera will automatically focus for you using preset focusing zone. Move the Switch to:
MF and it becomes a manual focus lens, where the photographer has to manually focus on his subject.

What are macro's what do they do...and what does

"Macro" can mean different things on different devices, but on cameras it's always short for "macroscopic".

Macro settings basically allow the camera to focus closely on a subject: to be truly macroscopic the size of the object in front of the lens should be reproduced at 1:1 scale or better on the film plane/digital imager. Most cameras cannot do this but many can achieve 1:4 scale; i.e. the image is one quarter the size of the object.

On your camera the icons next to the switch are showing you that there's a setting for close up images (the thistle) and one for distant objects (the mountain). All regular photographic lenses have a focussing range, usually from infinity (distant objects) to perhaps a few feet away. When in macro mode the switch moves the internal lens elements to shift the range closer: the camera can no longer focus to infinity but can focus to within maybe a few inches of the lens. The photographer just has to remember to cancel the setting afterwards and on most digital cameras there will be an icon in the LCD/viewfinder as a reminder.

I hope this has been of assistance, if so please return the favour by rating my answer. If not, then please add a comment to explain what you're still having a problem with along with the precise model of Vivitar camera and I'll be happy to offer further help.

Lens error, weird buzzing sound

We just bought this camera today for our 12 year old son. We got it home and heard the same strange sound. I showed the camera to my husband who is a professional photographer, and he said the sound you are hearing is coming from the motor. If you look at your screen when this noise is happening you will see that it only makes the sound when the camera is trying to do the auto focusing. Once the camera focuses on the image, the sound stops. He said the sound is normal, and this is the way that this camera was designed. Once I looked at the screen I could see that he was right, when the camera focused on a face, or object, the sound stopped.

File error

It could be either. There is not any way to tell, but if the problem is too bad I would replace the memory card first and then address the issue within the camera if it continues. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
