My camera won't turn on

I was using my camera today and it shut off on its own with the lense out. I thought that maybe it had to do with the batteries so I charged a new set and put it in but it still wouldn't turn on. I also tried to plug it in to the usb cord for my computer and it still wont turn on. The camera is not damaged in any way, so I'm not sure what the problem could be or how I can fix this? Is there some way to repair it or reset the whole camera?

Which digital camera can fit Albinar ADG lens 80-200mm ?

I bought my wife a Pentax body for Christmas from She had several Pentax lenses for her old 35mm and I didn't want to have to replace 4 lenses. It is the Pentax K-x. The lenses fit and eventually I figured out how to get the camera to actually permit me to USE it. (hint: switch to M and change the focal switch to MF... for some reason I thought there was something i changed in the menu as well, but can't find the setting). The only thing I don't like about the K-x is that it uses AA batteries and even NiMH rechargeable batteries don't last long. Maybe look for one with a rechargeable lithium battery. HTH

My camera lense won't go in. Everytime I switch it

Your batteries are too low.
When you switch on the camera, the lense go in. Then lense comes out fully. Then, if the batteries are low, lense goes in and camera turns off.
But if the batteries are too low, camera turns off before the lense retracts or even before the lense comes out fully.

My L200 samsung camara is frozen and the lens are stuck out

I had the same problem - and wondered if if might be that the battery didn't have enough 'grunt' to close the lense - so I am charging it via the actual charger (rather than through the computer) and sure enough, I turned it on and then off, and the lense closed. The green light comes on when I plug the camera into the computer to download photos, and I thought this was therefore charging the battery, but maybe it doesn't charge it properly. Anyway, my lense is now closed and the battery is still charging (light is still red). Good luck.

Zoom error

you may be true that sand must be creating this problem, as this happens very often. the sand enters into the lense assembly, creating friction in the movement. if this has happened total dismantelling and cleaning of the lense assembly will solve the problem, but that has to be done by an expert at the repair shop.

"turn off and on again"

a few weeks ago i dropped my camera in the sea and i thought, ****. i was in the same boat, so i opened the shutter myself and turned on the camera and it works and takes pictures but the shutter wont close again so if you can make sure you have no dirt in your lense and you can manually open the shutter yourself it may work and if it stops turning on all together keep charging it and once it goes green turn the switch off and on again until it always turns green then it should work again.

Broken Camera

It''s the need to buy rechargable batteries or lithium batteries. These batteries are specialied made for digital cameras. The lense is shutting off and or stuck because there isnt enough power/energy from the batteries. This is also a COMMON problem in these specific models! You can buy recharge batteies wityh the chrager and like 4 aa batteries for around $20.00 at wal-mart..Energizer is a nice one that plugs right into your wall outlet to recharge. My camera Samsung diximax D53 Works great now taht O realized it was teh batteries..No vody told em, and it doesnt specify which batterios to use in teh camera least I dont think..I even thought the camera came with regular alkaline batteries ( the ones taht wont work fior this camera)?

Battery corrosion

Carry on cleaning the contacts -perhaps a little abrasive cleaning with a pencil eraser- may do it.
