SOURCE: My camera says "Internal Memory
Remove the memory card from the camera, is there anything important in the internal memory of the camera? have you taken any pictures? Take a look in the playback - preview first to see if there are any important pictures on the camera, if there are, transfer them to the computer, or copy them into a memory card.
If there is noting of importance in the camera, you can format it, open the set up menu, and find the Format option or erase.
This will empty the internal memory that is used for storing pictures etc.
Now you can put in your memory card, and it should work normally.
if not - or if the error comes back, post me the brand and model, you might have the camera set on use internal memory, instead of memory card. This limits you alot in taking pictures, you will get the full message alot sooner than you would if you had it using the memory card.
