This is most likely due to non-pump out of the water. It could be a plugged filter or a bad pump motor. First thing to do is to get a pan or bucket and open the big screw filter behind the access door at the lower left on front of the machine. All the water will come pouring out, so be ready. Machine will probably unlock on it's own then. (if it is still plugged in) If not, you can take the top off by removing the screws on the bottom of the plastic clips at the back of the washers top. Now, standing in front of the machine, use the palms of your hands to sharply push the top back about an inch, then lift the top off. With machine unplugged, you can reach down to manually relaese the door lock.

its not easy, but you'll have to lay the washer on its back and take off the crate like bottom panel. Discontect all the hoses. Disconnect the electrical line going to the pump. If you can, try and seperate the pump motor from the housing by unscrewing two screws on the housing, which will seperate the motor from the housing, If you cant get to it, I actually broke the screws on the drain filter housing to get it loose. I secured it back with the other front loading screw and some gorilla glue, shouldnt be a problem. I should at least get another 6 years out of this pump. Good luck.
