SOURCE: phone keeps shutting off

Couple things that i've noticed that causes this:

1.Your using Mobile IM (Yahoo, msn , AIM )

2. Your using Mobile Email

If the Mobile IM is your culprit ... Unfortunately there's no real way to fix that at this time. Yahoo and AIM and MSN just need to come up with better Mobile applications (i've noticed it happens ALOT more with the yahoo mobile messenger)

If Mobile Email is your culprit: Just delete the application then redownload it .. Should fix the glitch.

Galaxy s4 wont turn on

It's not the charger, it's the battery pack. The way phones are wired, power goes to the battery pack first and then to the phone electronics. If the battery is more than 18 months old and you keep it plugged in a lot; i.e., don;t allow the phone's battery to discharge near empty each time then battery life will be shortened. Keep phones in temperature extremes will have the same effect. Would recommend you consider getting one of those emergency chemical batteries for your cell phone and try that first before shelling out the bucks for a new NimH battery. (Remember, phone companies don;t make batteries... most are made by Mashushita (Panasonic) or Sanyo (bought out GE's rechargable battery business many years ago.) This may help you locate less expensive OEM batteries for your phone.

Tip

Tips and Hints on How to Maximise You iPhone 3GS Battery Life

1. Turn Screen Brightness down to less than a half and turn on Auto Brightness. (Settings - Brightness).

2. Turn off Location Services when you are not using a GPS dependant App. If on a long journey using the iPhone's GPS, only turn the App and the service on every so often. GPS based Apps really eat battery life up!
(Settings - General - Location Services - Off).

3. Turn off Fetch Data. With this feature enabled the iPhone will interrogate the internet or your mail account every so often to fetch data, for example, an e-mail. This drains battery life. (Settings - Mail Contacts - Calendars - Fetch New Data - Push Off).

Or if you really want to keep this feature, just follow the same protocol as above , but instead of switching "Push" off, below that, adjust Fetch Data settings, to fetch on a less regular basis ie Hourly as opposed to every 15 mins.

4. On long journeys when all you need is the iPod functionality, turn Flight Mode on.
(Settings - Airplane Mode Off).

5. Remember to run the battery completely flat every so often. I do it around once a month and then fully charge it again.

6. Turn Bluetooth off.
(Settings - General - Bluetooth Off).

7. For those of us who have an iPhone 3GS or updated software on iPhone, switch on the Battery Percentage for better battery monitoring. (Settings - General - Usage - Battery Percentage On).

8. If you are fairly desperate for battery you can turn off the 3G feature of the iPhone. 3G enables higher browsing speed and better call quality. (Settings - General - Network - Enable 3G Off).

9. Turn Wi-Fi off if not in use. The iPhone will use battery searching constantly for Wi-Fi networks. (Settings - Wi-Fi - Wi-Fi Off).

10. Remember, if you really can't manage with the battery life, you can buy iPhone cases which provide extra battery power.

Good Luck

How can I improve my iPhone's battery life?

A recent research conducted on cellphones (smartphones) revealed that most of your battery life is drained by "Internet" and "calls". The more you use your phone for any of these two, the faster your battery drains. Next on the list is "Search for network" which consumes quite a bit of your battery power.
Smaller culprits are WiFi, Bluetooth, Screen brightness, themes, Vibration, etc.
* Reduce screen brightness to minimum
* turn off WiFi/3G/4G when not required (same with Bluetooth)
* if you are out of network area, turn off the mobile network so you cell doesn't keep searching for a network.
* If possible reduce internet usage on your cell phone to improve battery life (ie. if you have a laptop handy, use it!)
* Use a darker wallpaper
* Vibration takes up more battery than ringtones
* use a simple theme
* Dont keep your cell phone charging for long periods (eg. overnight)
* If you plan to buy a new battery, buy a branded authentic one
Hope this helped, thanks for using FixYa!

Slow upload not able to download from market suggested or tecommenfed apps short battery life even with advance task killer n mamager

the 3g is the biggest battery killer on your phone. in the android market you can download an app called 3G on/off turn the 3G off when you are not using the internet. keeping an eye on this can keep your phone going for almost another day. as the phone will use 21% of its battery just sitting there as you sleep.
The slow uploading and downloading could be down to your network.
I use an app called Autosettings which turns off features of the handset during set time ie. while i sleep and while the battery is low.

Keypad freeze

Did the key pad froze before you took the battery off? If so, it mean the keypad is damaged. If you have insurance, you may call customer service and have it replaced for a new one.

If it frozed after you shoot it off, you might call customer service from another phone and they might help you to unlock your phone.
