Question about Epson Office Equipment & Supplies
I'm using compatible cartriges
Assuming the cartridges match the codes of the units they are replacing please try the following...
-Remove the unrecognised cartridge(s)
-Turn the printer off
-Leave for 30 second
-Turn the printer back on
-Send something to the printer
-When it warns that one or more cartridges is missing click "How To"
-Follow the instructions for installing the cartridges closely
If the cartridges are still not accepted they are likely to be defective. In this case I would recommend replacing them with different cartridges.

pull out the ink cartridge and look all around it you may have left the thin plastic tape like peice on it . peel that off and replace it in there and restart the printer you should be good to go.

This is a common problem and is caused by faulty or missing chips onthe compatible cartridges. You will need to get them replaced otherwise the printer will not operate. Contact the vendor where you bought them from and ask for repalcements or a refund.
