I have My Ditto with a 2TB HD and a iMac with a 256 SSD (mount drive) and a 1TB HD for data in it the My Ditto app does not "see" the 1TB HD so i can't backup or sync the drive to my Ditto. i tried a few other programms to backup the HD to the server that works but not everytime sometimes my iMac (Mountain lion) gets the server sometimes not. i also tried the app to find the Timemaschine Volume witch is connected with USB to my iMac but the My Ditto app does even not recognise this Volume. how can i get the my ditto app to always find the HD and backup some folder automatic?

Did you do the installation required for the system to recognize the added hard drive, it is not plug and play.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Unit: WD Mybook 2Tb USB

The hard disk inside your unit is dying and the data on it gets corrupted. There's nothing you can do to fix that - either you open the case and replace the hard disk or you replace the entire unit.

What are my options of cloning from HDD to SSD?

With internal/external hard drives being as low in price as they are, I'd recommend the easiest solution as follows: Buy the SSD you want and an external sled for mounting the drive. Clone your current HDD to the sledded SSD. This would allow you to navigate through to see if there are indeed two partitions on the device.

While not having used it in a few years, there are two apps that I've had success with: Carbon Copy Cloner and Super Duper! The key in the instance of cloning would be to make sure that your clone is bootable... otherwise, it's a massive exercise in futility!

Hope this info helps!

Software for iomega ditto 2.0 gb

these drives are so old, even I don't have the software. If I should haven I can't read it, because I done have any floppy disk connected to any computer. But if you really want the drive to run, why not try a program from Novastor. Or connect them, to check your drive is still supported. But first make sure your computer can connect the drive. Because newer computers don't have floppy connectors nor SCSI interfaces.

Hi....my Samsung external HD G3 2tb won't turn on again after I erased all data on it. It is connected thru a hub to my iMac and taking off the power or USB and plugging back in won't do the t

It sounds like the drive has failed. The fact that you erased the drive just before it failed is coincidental.

Take the drive back and request a replacement under warranty. Also, demand that they destroy the drive in order to protect your data.

Iomega 1TB HD Works on iMac but not on Windows Laptop?

as the mac has a diffreent format to a pc you cannot connect up the drive to a pc because it simply wont recodnise it. the best way is to network the 2 computers together then alow file sharing on the mac and searcc with windows through the network to find the drive. then copy them across the network to your pc. this will then reformat the files to PC files at they hit your PC
