Question about Gaggia Titanium Espresso Machine
Have been disuse for about 3-4 years, since moving home, as no where to put it....now I have found a perfect spot, and pull Gaggia machine out of the box and deep dleaned everything even the coffee beans pieces left inside the grinder. (small hoover sucks everything out, (even the trap door)) Filled first fresh water into he tank and switch on, it's started working with "RINISING WARMING UP" then it's changed into "VENTILATE" read through manual to find out, what VENTILATE meaning, what's wrong with it?. said something about the water block, air flow etc*....no luck - tried to find help online,, no avail. seen some videos, something to do with a water pump at the back of the tanker hole where the they takes water from the tank. but the problem is where do I find the water pump thingy(!) or there's another solution to this? *I also turned the knob on rightside, to get steam out of the nozzle, BUT only hot water coming out. no steam. HELP...dying for a fresh brew of coffee(!)

SOURCE: titanium ventilate issues
Remove the milk frother, checked to see if it is blocked.
This can cause the machine not to ventilate correctly.
They tend to block with old hard milk.

Hi The first thing that I would check is the tip of the steam wand for a plug. If that is clear then I would suspect a clogged flow meter. If you can get the flow meter out it twists apart and don't loose the parts and the dot on the turbine goes up. Clean out the small opening on the bottom pipes where the hoses attach. Look inside and make sure that they are clear before reassembling.

Turn the knob on after you press the hot water button, run the cycle until the message is gone takes a few seconds or about 2 ounces of hot water.

It should take about 45 minutes to an hour to properly descale the machine. If it only took a couple of minutes you really didn't descale your machine. If you used the powder it has to disolve completly before descaling. The best way to descale is with the descaler in the tank. Turn on the machine and run about 8 ozs of water-descaler through the wand and then turn off the machine. Wait 10 minutes and repeatthe last procedure. Do this until the tank is empty. When done with the descaler, rinse out the tank and put fresh water in the tank and run the whole tank through the wand. Then fill the tank and your ready to go.
