Re: computer won't read the HP Photosmart C6280 Printer
It sounds to me like the printer is either not set as the default printer or that the printer portion of the unit is not installed correctly in the printers and faxes control panel. Unplug the usb cable and plug it back in to a different usb port and see if it detects the printer and installs the driver. If it does not then, click on the start menu and select printers and faxes. See if the printer is there and that it is set as default. There should be a black check mark next to it. If not click add printer and follow the prompts.
If none of the above work, reinstall from the CD or go to the HP site and download the driver and reinstall.

Check corner marking for placing the document, place the document & scan through system, verify whether you got full scanned image? if not adjust the placement in correct position, once its OK, go for print there select correct image size(could be 100%) & paper size..I hope it will solve the issue..Best of luck
" no scan options refer to device documentation for trouble shooting" you need to open up either solution center or hp director, go to settings, scan settings, then scan to set up and look for the option front panel destination a window should open to reveal scan short cuts and one titled front panel list. you need to select the shortcuts click add and once satisfied click on "update device".

Check your documents folder under My Scans. I found that my scans were going in there. I had to open them to put them where I wanted them.
I also have the problem of the missing line up upload to my computer. If I restart the computer with the 6280 on the line reappears and I can scan what I want. I have asked HP what the problem is with no real solution. They seemed to think that since it works after restarting the computer that the problem was solved. The option shouldn't disappear from the screen at any time, but I guess I'm stuck with restarting the computer every time the problem comes up. Hope this helps.
