There are plenty of reasons as to why our iPhone sound doesn't work. Here we'll try to find out the reasons why no sound is not working on iPhone. You can take a look at below.
1) iPhone May Be Stuck in Silent Mode
In silent mode, you can't hear ring tones and other notification sounds when others contact you.
2) Media Volume or Ringer Volume Could Be All the Way Down
If the media you are playing has no sound on iPhone, but your ringer and message notification sound is at a normal volume. It means that your Media volume could be all the way down. Otherwise, it denotes that your Ringer volume could be all the way down.
3) Device Speaker May Be Obstructed by Dust
If your iPhone is placed in a dirty environment for a long time, obstruction of iPhone speaker will occur, which will lead to no sound working on iPhone.
4) iPhone Speaker May Be Blocked by iPhone Case
Sometimes, protective cases will obstruct sound and cause iPhone sound not working, though those cases provide protection to iPhone.
5) Your Bluetooth Headset May Be Connected
When you use a Bluetooth headset with your iPhone, your iPhone will be automatically connected to Bluetooth headset in the range. In this condition, AirPlay Mirroring will direct all sounds to Bluetooth headset.

Guys- I have had the same problem with my speaker not working and it comes down to the spacing inside the phone. Some people have resolved the problem by placing a small piece of paper or credit card between the phone or the battery back. I actually took the back cover off, the battery off, and then unscrewed the 6 tiny screws to take the back of the phone off. You'll then see two small pins that act as spacers to keep the phone back off of the speaker and you can gently bend them upward a bit more and this totally worked for me. I noticed after I was using a leather pouch to hold the phone, the only way to take it out was the pinch the phone on that area, and was thus "smooshing" these pins down and not giving the speaker the appropriate spacing. You'll void your warranty by doing so - but you should be able to fix the problem.
