Question about ViewSonic N2750w 27 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I turn on my ViewSonic N3751w and the volume lowers itself all the way down to 0 and the zero continues to flash like it is still attempting to lower. I have tried removing the batteries from my remote, and using the buttons on top of my television. I've tried unplugging the TV and waiting to plug it back in, but that doesn't work either. How do I reset this thing or get it to work properly? I can view the channel playing, but none of the other buttons on my television seem to be responsive... HELP!
You can't reset it you have a sound problem circuit that needs to be fixed by a qualified tach.

Could be a problem with the down volume button on the tv. the board
it's on ir its harness. Check them all. Make sure the volume buttons
plastic actuator moves freely and is not stuck.
If these parts are all good, you have a problem on the main board. You may have to trace the control lines as far as you can and check any capacitors along the way. If you have an oscilliscope you can test the lines to see if the up volume is working correctly. If there is noise on it, you might find a bad capacitor if you can trace it back far enough. Schematic helps here.
Of course, make sure nothing is shining on the sensor window on the TV. You might want to scope that line as well (IR sensor line).
If none of that helps, get hold of Viewsonic and find your closest service provider. You can order a main board from them.
Of course, you could try just using the audio out jacks to an amplifier or a surround sound amplifer. Then you would use the remotecontrol for the surround sound system to control your volume.
Bet you were going to buy one anyway right?

You can reset your viewsonic remote control by removing the batteries, and holding the power button down for 10 seconds. Just 10 minutes ago I repaired my remote, which was doing absolutely nothing, not even turning the set off and on, Called Viewsonic, they told me this, and it worked ! Yay !

I have a 19" ViewSonic and if you hold down the 2nd and 3rd buttons together under the screen, counting from the LEFT, it will disable the Powerlock.
