Re: Acer Aspire 3680 too slow
Sure but if it has acually been slowing down you must also find the problem. Have you disk cleaned up and defragged your hard drive lately. Cleaned out all the junk from your internet exploier? Have you gotten rid of everrything that you don't need or want. Slowest thing in a computer is the Hard drive seek/read time.
According to you manual (Link below) You can have up to 4GB total memory. Two strips of 2GB each soDIMMs

As far as compatibility is concerned, YES you can install Office 2007 on your computer. The only factor that would limit you is the amount of RAM you have on the computer but since you have Windows Vista, I would assume that this computer has 1GB or more of system memory.
This is just a secondary concern, though. If you have any lower than 1GB of RAM (possibly due to shared video memory), the application will still run except not as fast as you would like it to.
If by "usage space" you mean RAM, it is time to install more RAM, I'd recommend ~2-4GB RAM. If by usage space you mean the hard drive, clear a BUNCH of space. It will make Windows be able to use virtual memory, which will speed things up a hair.
You need to determine if you have DDR or DDRII. And then determine if you have one stick of 512, or if you have 2 sticks of 256. Once you know this information, visit your local Best Buy or purchase somewhere online, a memory upgrade. Such as 2 sticks at 512mb for 1 gig total. Assuming you have two memory slots, should have anyway.
DDRII is fairly cheap right now, be a good time to upgrade. DDR on the other hand, is still a little more expensive.
