Question about Sony Network Walkman NW-A1200 MP3 Player

3 Answers

Volume Button. Hi there. For weeks, my volume button has been wobbly and on the verge of completely falling out. I was very doubtful of this disaster actually happening but now...yes you guessed it, the button is off and I can't find it anywhere! I just want to point out that I have been nothing but careful with my mp3 player, so I don't understand why the button has fallen off. Can another button be purchased seperately, because I honestly dont know what to do? :[ Many thanks, Claire

hey!! Mine also fell off!! i had the same mp3 player before but it was a 6GB instead of an 8GB ! I had it for a year and the month after the guarantee was up it broke!!!! for no reason it just stoped working! Luckily my sister had bought the 8GB NW-A1200 mp3 player about a month after me and so i took hers when she got a new one and it has been working ever since!! EXCEPT for that stupid volume button! I think they are just a bad make and i am only praying that this one doesnt brake any time soon!!

I also lost the volume button, this isnt a soloution but it helps....i always use a pin or somethin thin and sharp to push the notch up or down inside where the volume button was....it dosnt resolve the problem but ive gotten used to it and the volume dosnt really bother me now...

This has also happened to me - I put a thin strip of plastic in front of it to stop it falling out. I am going to the Sony Centre soon to fix that & my battery issue before my warrenty runs out.

I need to reset galaxy tab 10.1. was my daughter's and she forgot pattern and email/password....nee d to get past the lock screen

hi Jon.
A factory data reset may help with a blank or frozen screen, apps crashing or freezing, keypad/touchscreen problems, can't hear, device making noises, can't make or receive calls, and device won't sync.
Perform a factory data reset only if absolutely necessary as it removes all data including:
  • GoogleTM account
  • System and app data
  • App settings
  • Downloaded apps
  • Media (Music, pictures and videos, etc.)
Notes:
  1. Power the device off.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up button and then briefly press the Power button to power on the device.
  3. Release the Volume Up button and the Power button when the Samsung logo displays on the screen.
  4. Use the Volume Up button to select the small android with an arrow icon.
  5. Press the Volume down button.
  6. Use the Volume button to select Recovery Console then press the Power button.
  7. From the Recovery Console screen, use the Volume button to select Wipe Data / Factory Reset then press the Power button.
  8. Use the Volume button to select Yes then press the Power button.
  9. Once the Wipe Data / Factory Reset has completed, use the Volume button to select Reboot System Now then press the Power button.
Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
To set up the device after completing the factory data reset, refer to Initial Activation and Setup.

How do i adjust voice volume on my jitterbug

The rubber volume button on the outside of the phone adjusts both the ringer volume and the call volume, which is how loud a caller sounds when on a call. If you are not on a call, the volume button will adjust the ringer volume. To adjust the volume of a caller, you must adjust the volume while on that call.

To do this, while looking at the inside screen, adjust the volume by using the rubber volume button, which can be found on the outside of the phone. Press the top of the button to increase the volume and the bottom of the button to decrease the volume. The inside screen will display the call volume level. You may also set the call on Speakerphone mode. If you have the Jitterbug J model, there should be a button labelled "SPKR" on the upper left corner of the keypad.

If you need additional help, you can call a customer service expert available 24 hours a day 7 days a week at 1-800-733-6632 who will walk you step-by-step through the process.
