Question about Canon MultiPASS C555 InkJet Printer

MULTIPASS C555 INKJET ONLY GIVES ME BLANK COPIES

I THOUGHT CARTRIDGE MUST BE IN NEED OF CHANGE. AFTER CHANGE I STILL ONLY GET BLANK COPIES AND GIVES ME THE MESSAGE "NEED TO REPLACE CARTRIDGE" (?)

    I would like to use mine as a stand alone fax. it has set for a year or two. I have changed the ink cartridge but it still wont print. I hve tried to clean it but still won't print. I also checked the set up in the manuel and it is set up right. Please help.

    I have changed my ink cartridge as well and it still doesn't print anything. Even when the fax portion prints its reports it still comes out as a blank page?

    So now what??

An other method that might also work for you, is to clean the print head with some rubbing alcohol. Even though the cartridge is new, the print head might be in need of cleaning. It works for me 100% of the time no need to mess with drivers.

Normal 0 Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

How to install Canon C555 multipass on XP .please give step by step procedure. Is CD necessary?


  1. Install driver from CD or download from HERE and run the installer, follow prompts
  2. Connect to PC with USB cable
  3. Print some documents

CANON C555 - Black & white only?


You could remove the color cartridge altogether, or just select "Print in grey scale" from the printer properties box.
