My phone browser is working but notdownloading what i want to do

  • Install and Use a Different Web Browser: Don't use the built-in "Browser" app to browse the web. Instead, install a browser like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome from Google Play. Chrome only works on Android 4.0 and up, but Mozilla Firefox still works on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. These browsers include their own rendering engines, so they don't use the system's browser engine. They're also frequently updated via Google Play. You'll probably find these browsers faster than the built-in browser if you have an older device with older built-in browser code, anyway!
  • Avoid Browsing With Embedded Web Browsers: Just using a third-party browser won't fix everything, as you'll still be at risk if you use an embedded web browser in an app - these use the system's "WebView," which is vulnerable. Avoid browsing with embedded browsers if you have a vulnerable version of Android. Stick to a dedicated browser app like Firefox or Chrome.

What to do when trying to view XML File formats in Google Chrome. <br /> While Google Chrome is a great browser it is too new to have everything users want. An incredibly popular file format, mainly for programmers, is XML, which is not handled natively by Chrome... not sure why. <br /> A simple solution to this problem is to load a great Chrome Extension called 'XML Tree.' So next time you go to view an XML in Chrome the browser will read and display it all nice and pretty for you. To install follow the link below, install the extension, and then that's it. When I sign in, why do 5 web pages come up instead of just one?

What are those five pages? They could be from your extensions telling you what the newest updates are, or you could have malware which corrupts your homepage and often spawns annoying pop-ups, ads and other annoyances. If they are extension update pages, simply close them down. If this happens every time you open Chrome, then Chrome itself has been corrupted. Uninstall, reboot and reinstall it again to fix this problem.
32b version: Get 32b free web browser
64b version: Get 64b fast free web browser

Download the 32b version if you know you only have 4 Gb of RAM or less. If you know you have more than 4 Gb, try the 64b version as it's faster. If you are unsure which one to get, go with the first one. Running a 32b version on a computer with more than 4 Gb of RAM only means that version of Chrome will only utilize a maximum of 4 Gb regardless of how much actual RAM you have. But a 64b version will use the full available RAM and not be limited to 4 Gb only.

If the pages are nonsense and nothing you wanted or had interests in, then it's probably malware changing your homepage. To clean malware install a malware blocker/cleaner like, "Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware (MBAM) software and let it run. If it finds malware it will report it and give you the option to remove, clean, quarantine it. Or CCleaner. Both have free version of their programs.

MBAM is easier to use, while CCleaner is better it can also be destructive if you turn on the wrong settings. If you're a newbie go with MBAM. If you have some tech sense try CCleaner.

I myself use the MBAM Pro version which includes active 24/7 cleaning while the freebie version only detects stuff when it is ran. Though I read they came up with a freebie active detector for users of their freebie program called, "Malwarebyte's Anti-Exploit", which protects your browser from current and future malware.

To help with future problems in Chrome, you can install Chrome protection modules (Extensions) from their Extension/APP store. Left click the three stacked bars in the top right corner of Chrome. Move the pointer down to, "More Tools", and left click. A sub menu will open. Move pointer down to Extensions. A new tab will open to display any extensions you may have. At the bottom of that page is the link, "Get More Extensions", to go to the Extension/App store. No not the Google Play store... it's a different store. Or you can copy and save this direct link:
Chrome Web Store

In the search box look for Ad Blockers like: AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, uBlock, uBlock Origins. Click to read about them and install one. You only need one. Don't install more than one ad blocker. There are dozens of different ones, but AdBlock and uBlock / uBlock Origins are the most popular ones. They will help stop future attacks from malware sites but not fully protect against them which is why you need to run the malware protection program once a week/month on a regular basis.

How do I put chrome back onmy gmail

Gmail is a web-based mail program. Chrome is a web browser - and for some - and Operating System (or "OS") for a computer. It isn't possible to put Chrome on Gmail - but you can put Gmail on Chrome.

If Chrome is the browser or OS, you can use the browser to get to gmail by entering or in the address bar or download the GMail extension for Chrome in the App Store. See how in the link below

Google chrome apps and extensions were deleted

well the easiest thing to do is sync your browser w/your email address. if you haven't done this, there's really no way to restore it unless you do it manually. to sync google chrome to your email do this:
go to the wrench icon @ the top right.
go to options
click the 'personal stuff' tab on the left
the first option is to sync your account, follow the setup instructions.
If you have already done this, there's a button to resync all your settings. good luck!!

How can I transfer my bookmarks to a new computer?

The simplest method to transfer bookmarks between computers is by "signing in" to Chrome on the first computer. All of your Chrome browser data and preferences (including bookmarks) will be saved into your Google account, and that will be available whenever you sign in again on any other computer.

Here's how to sign in: In the Chrome web browser, click on the wrench icon (upper right corner), then select "Sign in to Chrome".

Then enter your Google account user name and password.

All of your Chrome bookmarks, extensions and other preferences will then be saved into your Google account online.

Then on your new computer, install the Chrome browser, and again "sign on" with the same Google account. Your Chrome bookmarks, extensions and other preferences will be retrieved from your Google account.

See also these Chrome help pages:

Alternatively, you can export your bookmarks from the Chrome browser on the old computer. Click on the wrench icon, select "Bookmark manager"; then select Organize > Export bookmarks. That will generate an HTML file. Copy that file to the new computer (e.g., by using a flash drive). Then on the new computer, install the Chrome browser, select "Bookmark manager"; then select Organize > Import bookmarks.

For more on bookmark export & import, see this helpfile:

Hope that's helpful.

Please help me or cant use your browser, get web fetti offf my pc or I will have to use another browser

Hello -
I assume that you are speaking about the WebFetti Chrome extension. To remove the extension you will need to do the following things:
1) Click the 'Customize and control Google Chrome' icon in the top right of the browser (Note: the icon looks like a tool wrench)
2) Go to 'Tools' after selecting the previous icon
3) Go to 'Extensions' in the 'Tools' sub-menu
4) Scroll down your list of extensions until you find WebFetti, and select the 'Uninstall' blue hyperlink
You should be good to go after performing this. Please let me know if you run into any problems. Thanks!
