Good day!Is your new driver compatible with your Lexmark printer?and is your cartridge had no defect?..try to calibrate the cartridge..look to the manual of the printer..
you need the Lexmark z23 driver installed on your computer first. Here is the lexmark website. just download the driver and install it. Once that is done you should be able to chose it when printing.
go to the printer properties---there select printing preferences ---there select lexmaxr solution center-----in that option select printer cartridge replacement option----in that follow the replacement instructions.and select the cartridges.as it is new.and its proper appropriate number.then only it will print properly.
selecting the cartridge is very much necessary.
In this model, if the colour does not work then your colour cartridge is either dried up or empty. Try running a few head cleans through your maintenance section and see if it rectifies the problem. If not a new cartridge will fix the problem.
Unfortunately, this is a known problem with Lexmark printers.
First, try turning the printer upside down and shaking it - it's been known to work. If it didn't help, try cleaning the parts with alcohol solution. Wipe everything inside including the top strip, the metal bar and then pull the ink cartriges out and wipe the copper and the actual cartrige too. And to finish it, hit the side of the printer a couple of times.
