There are breakers in the breaker box which I have closed and reopened but didn't solve problem. I am wondering if there is anything on the unit itself. I cannot see any.

Thank you dwkcool. Pulled safety disconnect and found control board under cover. 4 fuses - could tell immediately which was bad but replaced all. Working fine and now watching the snow fall with the heat going. Thanks again. Crabtrap2

Home furnace comfortmaker blowing cold air

Home owner's manual? Troubleshooting section. Gas or electric?
If gas, pilot light may be out, or other gas controls. Are you sure you have gas supply? Do you have other Gas appliances so you can check? Furnace needs power for controls, fan and thermostat. Are you sure you have electric power to the furnace? Does the thermostat have a fan switch? If so turn it on and see if the fan turns on. If it does not turn on you may have a circut breaker poped. or some other reason power to the furnace is not working.

FURNACE WON'T TURN ON: I have a 1999 Fleetwood, Prowler RV. The furnace won't turn on.

Check the exhaust port of the furnace. Wasps like to build nests in there and it will not allow the furnace to ignite if blocked. You have a gas detector and it is turned on I assume? I forgot this many times.

Wires to big to fit in new coleman furnace breaker

Go to Home Depot, get a wire splitter for each wire coming in (probably 2). Then run #10 to the 30 amp breakers or #4 wire to the 60 amp breakers. Harder to explain than to do. Basically, what they do is act like a "Y" branch for wires; the existing #2 wire goes under 1 screw lug, the new #10 & #4 go together under the other lug. Another solution that I do often is reuse the bus bar from the old furnace on the new furnace, properly wrapped in 10- 20 mil tape! Hope this helps! Last note: use NoLox on ALL the connections, as electric furnace lugs get hot and tend to losten over time, causing arking that destroys the lugs. Also, I'd bet your old wires are aluminum and your new wires are copper- another reeason for No-Lox!!!

Have a carrier 92 furnace. electric motor will not kick on...just hums. red light on circuit board flashes...help?

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
If the furnace won't run, check the electrical service panel for a blown fuse or tripped breaker. Also make sure the power switch on or near the furnace is turned on. Check the unit for a reset button and try it. Some units have a built-in breaker or fuse panel.
However you can have a missing 1 phase , test with the VOM, for to measure voltage. Or motor need repair for winding trouble, bearing. If you do not have enough experience call some electrician.
God bless you

Auto fan does not start electric furnace

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
If the furnace won't run, check the electrical service panel for a blown fuse or tripped breaker. Also make sure the power switch on or near the furnace is turned on. Check the unit for a reset button and try it. Some units have a built-in breaker or fuse panel.
If there is not enough heat, raise the thermostat setting five degrees to see if it turns the unit on. If the unit still does not generate enough heat, check the comfort controls . Clean or replace a dirty filter, clean the blower assembly (see the Forced-Air Distribution Fix-It Guide), and make sure that all registers are open and not blocked.
If the furnace turns on and off repeatedly (cycles), clean or replace the filter; and clean the blower assembly (see Forced-Air Distribution Fix-It Guide).
If the furnace is noisy, make sure access panels are mounted and fastened securely; spray squeaking belts with fan-belt dressing and replace worn or damaged belts; adjust the blower belt; lubricate motor and blower oil ports.
If the element does not heat, refer to the Heating Element Fix-It Guide for guidance.

Gibson Furnace /c Nordyne 624631-A board, red LED flashes twice. No heat being produced.

Gas or electric? If gas make sure the line is on by checking the valve. If electric check your breaker panel box and see if it is tripped. If so reset the breaker.

Sometimes the furnace doesn't come on when it should

OK so its an all electric furnace no gas? I cant think of anything clicking on an electric furnace except the sequencers or the safety switches.

If this is whats your hearing then the fan should definitely be running.

Feel carefully around the fan motor (I assume this is in a mobile home). See if you detect any heat coming around the blower area close to the fan motor. If so the fan motor may be at fault or one sequencer may be out (the main one of course...) the thing is can you get the fan to come on by turning the auto switch on the thermostat (or if older model the Auto On switch on the furnace) to ON? If so you can "limp by and have heat til someone either checks it or you can go on deeper into it. but to go deeper you'll have to let me know you know where the elements are and that you have a volt meter. and feel comfortable using it especially on HOT wires.

Furnace will not light, but there is gas to the house

This problem will need to broken down in several steps. First, reset all the breakers that operate the furnace and ac. Turn the thermostat to on and the ac to off and see if the furnace blower starts. Get back with me.
