Question about Panasonic (KX-TG1032S) Phone

2 Answers

Panasonic handsets are sporadically operational on new phone.

Panasonic 6.0 3 handset cordless phone: KX-TG9333T. Only had it since Christmas day and already handsets are either not ringing or are not able to be turned on. Batteries are charged. AC adapter has been unplugged and plugged back in twice. I've read other testimonials and this seems to be an issue with this phone. Handset may work right out of the charger but then begins to fail. We've swapped handsts around and it seems to happen no matter which handset. Do you think it's the multiple handsets or the 6.0 technology? We had a previous Panasonic 2.4 gHz for years with 2 handsets and no issues at all. Is there something that can be done or should we return it? Incidentally, no static at all. Thanks for your time!

One additional comment - When the handset is not working, it displays "No Link to Base!"

Unfortunately, it's not a volume situation. The handsets are not talking to the base for not apparent reason. Thanks for trying!

I've been reading on different sites regarding Panasonic phones and a number of their models seem to have this with a few customers. Most seem to be 6.0 technology and more than 2 handsets. A couple were from the 5.8 GHz technology. Could you give me an idea of where you think the issue lies? The technology or multiple handsets? Or do you think it's possible to purchase another of the same phone and have that one function properly? This is one of the only phones I've found that have all the features we are looking for and we've had luck with Panasonic in the past. Thoughts?

I do apologize, but I was expecting at least more of a solution or knowledgeable answer than I had on my own. I can't accept a solution that is common sense that I had before I posed the issue. I'm trying to determine what the issue could be to know if I should try another of the same phone, as I really like the phone, or stay clear. Have you looked into the history of issues, has Panasonic acknowledged the issue, etc. Just looking for more than I already know on my own if I'm going to pay for a service. Please know every connection has been checked, rechecked, etc. We are well into the issue. Thanks.

It could be the issue that the device can be faulty or some connecting between the two may be got loose so this problem.as the device is new i will suggest you to get it replaced as its under warranty.

Without researching and just reviewing your comments and info ..

I would return it ... Opt for either a different model and/or brand

After reading reviews at various sites I think that this set you have is more of the problem .. not the make/model .. the reviews that I read seemed to point to more of nuisances such as microwave and wireless network interferences .. I would offer that you return this set and get it replaced with another of the same .. the features are nice

Same issue here. Have you checked the battery? I found out that on mine the battery was leaking and corroding the contacts. Need to call Panasonic to find out if they can do something (about 5 month old phone)

Panasonic KX-TG2740 Cordless Phone - Can I reset handset registration

press function button on handset, scroll to initial setting, select by pressing right arrow, scroll to registration, select, select hs registration, follow directions on handset display, pressing mute on "new" base station, and ok on handset(plugged in). If you like, you can unregister with the "old" base unit first.
