You would need a 2 or 3 way crossover, depending on whether or not you biamp your tops. Simply go out of your main outs on the mixer into the input of the crossover. Go from the low output of your crossover to your low power amp input (subs), and the high output of the crossover to the high power amp input (tops). Then go from your outputs of your amps into the speakers themselves.

I have the Peavey triflex ii I have power and sound in the subwoofer but nothing on the satellite speakers I get no sound o checked all fuses and they are good. Wires are also good

My recommendation would be to try the satellite speakers, each , by themselves, from another source, say another amplifier, with a cd player or mp3 player hooked up to the source to confirm the speakers themselves are indeed functioning. If you try this, and still have no sound from them, it is the speakers. If they work, then the amplifier section of the Triflex rig is not functioning. A lot of times, Peavey has had issues with the Power transformers going out in their amps. Might have happened. If the speakers don't function attached to another amp, then you may have a blown speaker/crossover/ or maybe an inline breaker or fuse in the speaker . You can remove the back panel of the speaker to check this. It would seem improbable for both to go out at the same time, so my thought would be a breaker on the amplifier section of the Triflex, or the amp itself.

I have bought a Behringer Europower 6000 mixer amp. I have 2 Peavey Pro 15 cabs and a subwoofer for each side. They are all rated at 4ohms. The guy in the shop told me to put the amp into the subs then...

No !!!!... you don't want to go below 4 ohms. Paralleling each sub and the Pro 15 would be like 2 ohms...

With those cabinets, either have a second amp driving the subs from the mono or main 1/4 inch jacks out of the mixer or the other thing is a kludge to series each PAIR, that is series the Pro15's to form 8 ohms and the subs to get 8 ohms and run the 6000 as a split between the A and B. The pan controls would not be useful this way at all.

I would recommend using a seperate amp for the subs.

Whoever that shop is wants you to burn up that unit so they can repair... don't do it... BE VERY careful to ensure speaker leads are solid as that amp can destroy itself if the speaker leads short or momentaarily break... I repair these amps... I know...

How do i connect my pv2600amp to my peavey subs and top speakers, i have the leads but what do i do?

Line outs Left and Right from mixer to power amp Left and Right inputs,
Power amp outs to Subs(if they have passive crossovers built in check specs on subs).
From Subs then to Main spkrs. Make sure power amp is set in stereo mode using this way.

Alternative: You will need at least a 2-way stereo crossover unit inline after mixer and before power amps if the subs don't have a built in passive crossover. Most of them do have passive crossovers in the subs these days. Then separate amps or one channel would drive the subs and the other the main speakers. True stereo would require at least a 2 way crossover and two stereo power amps if hooking them up this way.

There is another option as is common with many sub setups. Send the signal to the mains using L/R outputs from mixer and a separate Mono output to the subs only. Putting only bass/kick and low frequency outputs in this send would help too.

Horns don't work on sp2 speakers

I've got Peavey SP2's and SP4XT's and they have one common problem. The 22XT Driver needs replacing from time to time. It could be a power spike, overdriving from amp, over heating or dirt/water in horn. The driver is very easy to replace and costs about $40.00. Remove the horn, carefully lift the horn and disconnect black and red wires. Remember red is always +. Remove driver from horn with socket wrench or socket screwdriver, clean the circular gap on horn with masking tape to remove dirt, hand tighten driver screws, connect red and black wires, carefully set horn back in SP2 enclosure and slowly bring up the power. Also be sure to be very careful when setting the new driver/ coil in the horn. You don't want to damage the coils on the new driver at all!

clearer sound = more watts / more power.
amp watts? speaker load/impedence ohms output from amp? those peavey speakers will sound good if they are powered correctly. plus try to keep the mic away from the speakers, which brings me to my next suggestion..... mic??? this will also affect your clarity.

I have a pair of peavey sp5 speakers that i can not get to play full range they will play high and low but not full range

what sort of amp are you driving these with?
is the amp set up with buit in x-overs?
check these settings?
Boxs should be configured already for full range from manufacture unless they have been altered since purchase,

Whats really funny is that your getting either tops or bottoms from them but not both at the same time......hmmmm
they are supposed to be full range cabinets, very good ones at that.
I suspect the amp is either faulty or x-overs are poked.
some times leads are a also the blame too.poor connections, etc.
if x-over is poked you will hear an ear peircing noise and a paper duding noise if the cones were gone, like a giant transistor radio with no bass and a very high pitched trebble burning a hole in your head,

Ok heres a cheap test,

Take the speakers to another amp and test them,
If same result then you know the answer

Let me know the results thanks
