Question about Hitachi 53SBX59B 53" Rear Projection Television
The projection lights don't line up. You get a 3Dlike picture, with a green, blue, and red outline. The screen begins to bend up from the bottom and the screen splits into 3 colors, giving you the 3Dlike picture with the aforementioned green, red, and blue outline. If you hit the side or top of the tv the screen will line back up giving you a perfect picture, but only for a minute or two. Is there a loose connection, or has something burned out? I'm at a complete loss. HITACHI 53SBX59B, made in 1999.
It sounds like bad solder connections in the convergence output circuit. It may also be an intermittant convergence output ic which will need to be replaced.
