KP-57WS500 8 blinks will not power on

- i have researched this and it says it could be flyback transformer also

is there any way it could anything to do with convergence?? or no

thaks for asnwering my questions but i dont want to make sure what you say is what the problem is since the part will cost a lot of money and generally non returnable....


i would apprciate anymore input you have

- also i have 2 other sony tvs same model as this one except smaller screen kp-51ws500 im sure the parts are compatible with the 57 inch kp57ws500

maybe i can try taking the HVB block off the known good one and swap it out to see.......and also cant a bad pic tube cause the same problem??? when a tube goes bad which sony is known for the tv will not turn on correct???
my brotehr said prior to this happening the screen would turn all blue and then power off......but now there is no blue screen or anyting just black and powers off after about 5 secondsd with 8 blinking lights

- i also looked it up and here is what it says for 8 blinks

EIGHT Blinks---Problem with the audio (AUDIO), unit goes to standby and
blinks the self-diagnosis code. Check IC406 audio amp, PS401 and
402.

i dont see flyback or HVB in the description at all

i really would like to fix this tv i can solder and desolder very well
