If you want to keep the pictures on it, then you need to download them to your computer or put an sd memory card in the camera and move them to it. Your camera comes with a small internal memory so you can do one of the above suggestions. If the pictures are not worth saving , then you can format the card through the camera menu. This will delete all the pictures on the internal memory.
When you put USB connection to your PC, use Explorer, or some other file manager (Total Commander, Free Commander ...) for going to your memory card (like you are going to some memory stick). Move your picture file to another folder on computer for saving. You can copy, move, delete files from your camera. It is the same as from memory stick. On menu of camera, you must have option for deleting (or formating) camera memory. I don't like this hand removing. You have better control with computer...
If you already install the driver in a PC, then you can connect your camera via cable data, then you can move your picture files into PC's hard drive and delete the pictures in your camera's memory card. Or you can put off your memory card and open it via card reader. Do the same way (copy-paste-delete) to the picture files. After deleting process, you'll get more space in your memory card so you can put it back into your camera and you can use to save many pictures again.
Yes, it can be done. Here are the steps to copy them over:

5. Press the Menu/Ok button
6. To copy the photos from the internal memory to an SD card simply hit Menu/ok button again.
7. Arrow down to "All Frames" and then press Menu/Ok
8 It now asks you to confirm. To continue copying the pictures over, press Menu/Ok again.
9. It will now begin copying your pictures over.
The chip may not be inserted correctly. You can tell by seeing or not seeing SD symbol in the view screen. Try removing the SD card. Go through the memory and see if the pictures were saved to the camera or to the card. If the pictures were saved to the camera, turn off the camera and re-insert the card. See if the cards responds by showing more pictures available for taking and move the pictures to the card. If the pictures were saved to the card, then the card may need to replaced.
