SOURCE: when connect iphone to pc itune

That means you need to update your iTunes to the latest version. To do so, go to the Start Menu> All Programs>
... from there, look for Apple Software Update and click on that.

SOURCE: Itunes wont connect

If you are using a cable modem try disconnecting the power cable for about 15 seconds and then plug is back into the modem. Sometimes your modem has to be reset. Let me know if this works for you. I have some other ideas on how to fix it if this doesn't work for you.

SOURCE: How can I get Itunes to work on Ubuntu Operating Syste,

The short answer is: realistically, you can't.

The longer answer is: while some folks report that they've gotten iTunes to run under Linux/Ubuntu w/ Wine, it ain't pretty, and it probably won't recognize your iPhone.

The much longer answer is: I finally broke down and got a refurbished PC w/ Windows Vista on it mainly so my 3 sons and I could manage our iPods (3 iPod Videos and a Nano). I still don't like iTunes, and rarely if ever buy any music with it (I download most of my music from these days), but it remains the only sure way to manage your iPod and/or iPhone until Apple decides to open their specs.

Sorry to be a might just get it to work if you put a LOT of time and effort into Wine or running Windows in a virtual machine, but the easiest (and perhaps cheapest in the long run) way to go is to have a cheap Windows machine around.

Why does an error message continue to pop up when I am trying to restore my iPhone?

Since you didn't mention the error code number, I am going to assume it is 3014 because it is the most common iphone error associated with restoring the iphone. A fix which have been confirmed to work in most cases can be found here:

Error measage when backing up iphone

Please post the error message. Usually if u're backing up ur iPhone, u have only 2 options, backing up with icloud (if data is full it wouldn't back up), 2nd option is backing up with PC. You have to connect your USB charger between ur PC and iPhone, have iTunes installed in case u don't have, then once iTunes is installed you will see on the top-right side that iTunes have detected your iPhone then down you'll have the option of backing up to the PC. Please let me know if u need any other information

Usb arrow itunes error

iTunes for Windows iTunes can contact the iPhone iPad or iPod software...
If you can access your device's settings menu and connect to Wi-Fi, install the latest version of iOS over Wi-Fi using Settings > General > Software Update. If your device is locked with a forgotten passcode or in recovery mode, you will need iTunes to restore the device.
If one of the alert messages above appears when you try to update or restore your iOS device, connect to the Internet with your preferred web browser, and access the iTunes Store.

If you cannot connect to the Internet with your web browser

If you can connect to the Internet, but see an error when accessing the iTunes Store

If the iTunes Store shows a blank white page

If the iTunes Store opens successfully

Invalid response from itunes

Apple is not supporting the earlier models of iPhone with the later versions of iTunes.

iTunes provided this error message "iTunes could not connect to the iPod touch because an invalid response was received from the device." using my Generation 1 iPhone (2007) and iTunes version

There are two solutions for this, either find an Apple computer running an earlier version of iTunes, or find a PC version of iTunes that is earlier than version 12.

I found iTunes Version for the PC (64bit) and that worked fine on my Win8.1 PC.

Caution - If you try to reload iPhone firmware holding down the power plus home button, and keeping the home button pressed, but you dont have a working iTunes - you risk "bricking" the iPhone until you can reload the firmware with an older version of iTunes.

The FileHorse website provides many older versions of iTunes for the PC.

ITunes: Restore error 1645

1. Disconnect your iPhone cable but leave connected the other USB end to the computer. 2. Turn off your iPhone holding the Sleep/Wake button. The red slider bar appears. Slide the bar and wait until the iPhone turns off. Or you could hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time until the iPhone turns off. 3. While pressing and holding the Home button connect the USB cable to your iPhone. It should power on. Hold the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" message. Open iTunes if necessary. You should see the "iTunes detected an iPhone in recovery mode..." alert screen. 4. Choose "Restore".

Disable your internet security while trying to connect. Enable it after you have finished doing whatever you needed to do with itunes. You may also be able to include itunes and the itunes store in the websites acceptable to your internet security software.
