Question about Waring PBB 25 Professional Work Top Blender

1 Answer

Stopped blending blade moves independently from the metal ring on bottom, therefore will not blend. How do I tighten enough or is replacement necessary? When I tighten it, the blender will work for maybe one more task.

Re: stopped blending

Exact same problem.  Turned out the threaded shaft that holds the blades was broken so tightening the nut on the top doesn't really help.  Just ordered a new blade assembly from  Mine was the Waring 007314W Blender Cutting Assembly but there is also an older one for earlier models.  Don't know if it will work yet (assume it will), but cheaper than buying a new blender.

When I use the blender it is difficult to get it tight enough on the bottom so that the liquid does not pour out from the bottom. The ring is not cracked. I have had this problem for a long time and it...

Try tightening the ring by (unplugged), align and tighten the base ring, rubber touching glass, then the blade plate assembly, then the ring....Then place on the machine, press down and tighten more...

I find that you cannot sometimes get enough tighening by hand, due to the dimention of the ring and the human hand...

Failure of grinding, blending, or mixing kitchen appliances

Generally, a blade or grinding or blending/mixing part that is permanently attached to a metal shaft from the appliance motor is held on that shaft by a 'shear pin'. This pin breaks when something is put in the appliance that the grinder, mixer, blender can't gring, mix, or blend. This is to protect the motor from overload. Afterwards, The motor will continue to turn, but the blade or paddle, or whatever will not turn.
The shear pin needs to be replaced.
The shear pin passes through one side of the base of the bade/grinder/paddle assembly, through the motor shaft, and out the other side of the blade/grinder/paddle.
The piece of the pin must be removed from the shaft, and from the two sides of the blending/grinding part. This is generally a press-fit, and some effort may be required to accomplish this.
When the pieces have been removed, a common 'roll pin' of the appropriate diameter should be inserted to hol the turning part on the shaft. It must fit tightly, and some effort should be required to insert the new pin.

My jugs are leaking too at the bottom. If anybody finds the replacement jugs somewhere please let me know. I have a double smoothie maker model 5787. Thanks! email me at

My blender would do that if I didn't screw the jar on firmly enough. Sometimes the action of the blades will even loosen the bottom from the jar during blending, so I always hold the jar handle while the blending is going on. That way if it starts to undo, I can twist it back tight. Before I learned that trick I had smoothies leaking out the bottom - what a mess! Also make sure you put the gasket/seal on in the right order. If it's in the wrong place it won't seal correctly.

When trying to blend things like frozen fruit or frozen yogurt with the Vitamix, the blade stops moving, but the motor continues running. Even if there's only enough frozen yogurt to cover the blades, it...

Frozen elements are generally not recommended for blenders of any brand. They may cause the blade assembly to stop moving completely, or to "bog down," and this may eventually damage the motor. It is recommended that frozen fruits and/or yogurt be thawed when possible before placing into a blender. If this is not a possibility for you, I would use a "pulse" or "chop ice" function to rapidly spin the blades for just a moment. This will chop the contents in smaller, more manageable parts. This should be done before adding other liquid ingredients.

I have the tsk-9368ap blender model. Before I blend, I lock the blade in place on the bottom, while I am blending the blade comes loose, and whatever I am blending starts coming out of the bottom, I'm not...

kalexis - there is no such thing as support for the Durabrand TSK-9368AP - Wal-Mart decided that the products were so cheap that people would buy a new one if it broke. What I would do is take your blender into an Ace or True Value Hardware store, and have someone find a generic gasket that will fit your blender.

Waring blender - new blade

I just figured it out. The key is you need to think in terms of keeping the blades and the large washers separate. Here's what you do.
Thread the blade through the glass and use the white rubber gaskets against the glass and the stainless gaskets against the hardware. Then tighten the whole enchilada to the blender with the main nut (that goes on the bottom outside of the blender). Then once that's nice and tight tighten the flange that catches the blender teeth to the remaining portion of the protruding threads. Make sure you use the copper colored gasket first then the stainless washer then the stainless flange. Tighten that real good and you should be good to go.
To check if you've done it right spin the flange. If the blades spin independent of everything else you're good to blend away!
