Are you sure the TV supports 720p? Many older 55" RPTVs are 480 only. Even with Component. Most older component is only 480

Hi, I am having problems with my ASK C5 compact projector, after it has run through its auto input search and has found the pc, it will only project a scrambled frozen vesion of the screen, all the menus...

Try changing the resolution of the pc, sometime the projectors can not lock on to all resolution rates of the pc's, 1024 X 768 is a common resolutions that should be ok. If that doesn't work try another; 800 x 600. Also make sure if you are using a 15 pin HD VGA connection cable that the projector input is in the Analog mode.

I bought a PS3 and the best resolution I can get is 1080i. How do I get 1080p?

Purchase a can of comet cleaner, you have to polish your screen to a high luster. Remember the karate kid, wax, wax off.

Cant connect VGA form laptop to TV.

Sounds like you may be trying to use a resolution or scan rate the TV does not support. Many of these televisions do not support 720p, but DO support 1080i.

Good luck.

Cant go from 480 i to 1080 any suggestions?

How do you have your Blu-Ray player hooked up?

First, you have to set your Blu-Ray player to output 1080i (the highest resolution that the Mitsubishi WS-55511 can support). Then you hook up the player via component to the DTV component input on your set (it's the only input that can handle 480i/p and 1080i).

Good luck.

How do I put it to 1080 resolution

I have this same TV and a PS3. You either need to get a HDMI - DVI cable, or plug in some component cables in order to get 1080i from your PS3. Your DVD's will upscale to 1080i and your Blue_Rays will run at 1080i, but be aware, if you play PS3 games that only read 720p on the back of the game box, the PS3 will down convert them to 480p instead of upconverting them to 1080i.

For this unit and the addition of the secuity features of Blu-Ray, the 1080i you set can handle is through the component input from a DVD player or an XBOX. In the configuration menu of the PS3, change the resolution to 1080i and see if your set will reset to it. The 1080i on the Blu-Ray is only possible on the HDMI cable as far as I could find, again due to the security restriction. The Mitsu is not going to run it in 720p due to the PS3 is running component and cannot control sync to this set.
