My Blackberry 8310 phone is on, and the trackball works, but the keyboard is locked; How do unlock it?

Type wrong password 10 times, it will make your blackberry curve 8300 unlocked. But make sure you have backup data before you unlock blackberry using that way, since all your previous data in that phone will be erased.

When I use my phone on my curve 8300 it shuts down.

try a new battery if that does not work then try reflashing the OS on the phone.

2. You need to install a BlackBerry OS file that is specific to your device. The original version, as supplied by the carrier, is the safe choice, but you can use any model specific version. This is not supplied on your BlackBerry CD, Ref: 3 links to BlackBerry's download pages.

3. Once the OS has been installed, you have to prepare it for the device.

Select Start / Computer and select the Drive C: Icon.

Open Program Files / Common Files / Research in Motion / AppLoader.

Navigate to the bottom and delete the file Vendor.XML file.

4. You are now ready to restore your device. Verify that BlackBerry Desktop Manager is NOT running. Plug the device directly into the computer's USB port.

We are about to venture into the bowls of the beast. Windows is not suitable for this job, we are going to invoke the Command line interface with an option switch.
Windows XP: Start / Run... / Command

Windows Vista: Start / Command (type this into 'start search')

I Cant send MMs on my Blackberry curve 8300, please Help!

reset the settings.

rom the general menu under security, you can select wipe handheld, and then there should be a checkbox allowing you to wipe all 3rd party applications. This will remove all data and applications.

If you would like to erase the OS, use jl_cmdr (search either here or at blackberryforums.com, i dont have the direct link) and that will erase the OS. Then you can install the new OS to the computer, launch desktop manager, and you'll be all set. Doing that can take a while, so be patient.
