ox80070052 copying to sd card problem

  • david2110 Feb 14, 2009

I also have this problem copying pics to a card for my digi frame. This occurs when trying to copy to pics to any type of card (CF, SD, etc) but I can copy all pics without any problem to another folder on my hard drive, and I can access all pics on the hard drive to view on the computer. I'm using Vista home premium.
    Any ideas, anyone?

Same problem- didn't realize it was at the 20% full mark (it seemed random), but tested and it was. Reformatting as FAT did not work. Reformatting as FAT 32 did. Great idea!

I had this problem with the jump drive I am using in my digital frame. The drive has lots of open space, but not all the pictures will download on it, and i get the Ox80070052 error message.

I fixed it by re-formatting the jump drive. I moved all the files on the jump drive to a folder on my computer. Then i re-formatted the drive using a FAT 32 configuration. instead of a FAT configuration.

After the re-format, all the pictures transfer to the jump drive with ease.

I solved this by creating a folder on the card and then dragged the files into the folder

How transfer photos from computer to pandigital

First...make sure the format of the photos is
compatible with the frame...JPG would be the best
choice.

I'm guessing the frame has an SD memory card?

Do you have an internal or external media reader?

If_Yes_try the following steps......

Insert the SD Card in your media reader and go to...
Start / Computer.

The media reader should be recognized as one or
more Removable Disks and each will have a drive
letter.

Example:
Removable Disk (F:)
Removable Disk (G:)
Removable Disk (H:)

Left click each Removable Disk until you reveal the
Root Directory of the SD Card.

(If not....the frame (connected by USB) may be listed
as a Removable Disk)

OK...now that you know the drive letter...if you right
click a selected group of photos or a complete folder
you should be able to choose...Send to / Removable
Disk (?:)...this should copy the photos to the SD Card.

Be sure the photos are in one or more folders because
the number of photos you can copy to the root directory
will be very limited. And you will receive the following error:

"Cannot copy XXXX: The directory or file cannot be created"

Have "olympus sp 800uz" and

1. Put the SD card into the computers cardreader.
2. Connect the camera through USB with the computer .
3. Copy the pictures.

If you have trouble with the SD card:
1. Copy all the pictures to the computer.
2. Format the sd card in the camera.
3. Copy the pictures back onto the sd card.

How do i get pictures off internal memory onto a computer or sd card

Hi, I have the similar s8000fd and I transfer pics from internal memory by taking out the sd card then connect to a spare usb socket on computer, then switch camera on. To transfer pics from internal memory to sd card - leave sd card in, switch on camera (playback mode), press menu, select copy, select 'internal memory to sd card', 'select frame' or 'all frames'. It should say 'copy ok?' Press OK.

I am trying to copy, to a memory stick, some pictures and I keep getting error Ox80070052.

Are you trying to copy from a computer to the memory stick? That doesn't work. It probably won't work in your camera anymore either unless you format it in the camera first.

Copying pictures from computer to memory card

i have seen this error and i dont know why it does that. you may want to try buying a micro disk setup that fits into a sd adapter that will fit in your camera.

then you can take out the micro disk when full and put it on a usb adapter and plug right into a usb port.

i know this sounds like more work but so far i havent had a lock up on that or error yet. go to tigerdirect.com if you want to see the different adapters for the sd disk and micro disk and usb etc....

maybe this might help

Transfer pix back to SD card

Yes, you can. However, it will require another piece of equipment. A card reader from WalMart which can be one of two types: A usb jump drive version which has a cover that allows you to insert your sd card or a reader for various size cards. I have the usb jump drive. Plug it in, go to my pictures select each picture you want (if you want more than one, hold down control as you are clicking the desired picture) then on the left side click copy this file. A box will come up allowing you to choose where to copy to. You would go to my computer (click the little plus sign)under my computer click on the jump drive and then ok or copy. It should be on there. That's how I did it for my dad.
