Question about West Bend 85146 6-Quart
When I push the button to turn it on it displays E 01.
Talked to the nice lady at West Bend. Apparently, the problem comes up when the unit is "cold"... whatever that means. She said to plug it in, wait a second, then push the power button, then "cook" immediately. No pause. Don't hold either button. I tried it, it worked on mine.
Apparently, this a feature for some reason.

The thermostat may temporarily lose calibration due to temperature changes resulting in an EO1 error message on the display. Repeat the following steps to reset the unit.
1. Unplug the unit from the wall socket for approximately 10 seconds.
2. Plug the unit back into the wall socket.
3. Once plugged in, press the POWER button once. Within one second after, press the COOK button once.
