You need to go to your LBS (local bike shop). They usually have replacements for less than a $1.

There are a lot of Kia with broken crank bolts there is a class action law suit I have a 2004 Kia v6 would like service information on crank bolt and pulley is there a new type bolt and pulley ?

bolts breaking is a result of incorrect steel being used in the bolt manufacture and is not a fault of the vehicle manufacturer.
Discuss this problem with a engineering shop that specialises in rebuilding performance engines as they use a better quality bolt than what is used in mass assembly
every time you rebuild an engine , it is good practice to replace all bolts that are subject to a tension setting and if the manufacturer is aware of a bolt failure then it is more than likely that all stocks of the faulty batch of bolts would have been replaced
As a side point to this saga ---- quite some time ago now, a high rise steel worker was killed while tightening up a construction quality bolt(1") in dia after the bolt broke during tensioning and he fell and died. A subsequent investigation found that the bolt was of inferior quality and a nation wide investigation of bolt stocks found that that just about every bolt used by the US military had to be replaced
The bolts were all substandard and billions of dollars were lost by the bolt manufacturing companies to ensure that the bolts met a standard now used in industry

Lost my marks on flywheel when i take it off

Flywheels are either doweled in place or the bolt holes are not symmetrical. That means that of all the holes one will not line up properly to allow you to insert the bolt. Keep turning the flywheel on the crank until all the bolts go all the way in finger tight . If you have one that is a bit tight start again turning one hole at a time .until you achieve them all finger tight.

Idler Pulley replacement

there is normally a spacer on the bolt that positions the pulley the correct distance to miss the mounting bracket. IT sits between the bracket and the inner race of the bearing and locks that race so that the bearing can operate correctly.

I recently had timing belt and water pump changed on my 1988 944 with 1985 engine. Engine now has no oil pressure and engine rattles like crazy. Mechanic is lost on this one. Any help?

The crankshaft pulley bolt is loose. The crank bolt was removed to do the timing belt and was not tightened enough when the pulley was replaced. It must be very, very tight because it clamps the impeller of the oil pump inside the front cover of the engine. The impeller is not keyed to the crank and it relies solely on the clamping pressure of the bolt.

The left peddle arm fell off and I lost the bolt that held it on and also the bolt cover. Do I need a special bolt or nut.

Yes. It's called a crank bolt. Google it.

Read up on the task you face...

Then take it to a Bicycle Shop.

I imagine the bolt could have been detected as loose prior to the ride in which it fell off.

Search the web for "a b c quick check" and read or watch the videos for what you should look at prior to riding the bike.

The crank shaft front pulley bolt on a Toyota Camry 94 (5S-FE motor) is seized. How can I stop the motor from turning to get the bolt undone? Its an auto.

If the bolt is seized and u tried everything!
The last resort would be to torched the BOLT untill it loosen up!
Removing and torching it, might as well replace the CRANK OiL SEAL, carefull not to burn the CRANK PULLEY, some have a RUBBER insulation in the mid pulley!

I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue GLS, I am asking how do I know if the timing belt is broken? I was driving on the interstate and it lost power and would not turn over when i tried to crank it

Does not have a timing belt. Has a chain. Jack it up to where you can get a wrench on the bolt on the crank. See if crank turns. If it doesn't the engine is likely locked up.

My pulley from the crankshaft came off, it might be a stupid question, but did it break or just come off?? 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis

Not a stupid question. If thedampener is not tightened down sufficietly., The bolt can work itself out over tine.Without the clamping effect of the bolt the hub is able or will react to the crank shaft rotation pulses.which the dampener is supposed to absorb. Enough vibration, rotation counterin stress and eventually shears the keyin the crank and the dampener hub starts slipping on the crank . The rest is a given, the more it moves the more it loosens untilit no longer holds, Then you end up ssking this question. If you have lost a dampener, Just installing a new one will more than likely be futile.. The crank is now worn down and there will not be adequate sizing for the interference fit.. If you clean up the crank, and use loctite red on the pully and crank surfaces making sure the bolt is tightened real good with loctite thread lock on the threads, you mjust might get away with it. I can't see the dmage so you make the call. Now is you chance to replace the front crank seal. Is it in the shop now?

Lost bolt for harmonic balancer what size is it? Why did it come off?

I have seen this and you can be glad if the balancer didn't move and damage the crank or t-belt area. Get another bolt and torque it correctly.
