Prince2 project management for multiple subprojects? I have a project which is more like a 'programme' of projects, rolling out a software package internationally. I am unsure within the Prince2 methodology about whether to create 1 huge pid covering all the countries, or 1 programme pid and a separate pid for each country.

It depends on the packages that you will need to do and deliver for each country. If you are going to deliver the same package for each country then one pid well do. If however, each country has different requirements and version of package to be deliver, then you have to do different pids for each. Each set of package will have different ones. You can also browse the net to double check. there are good websites discussing the details of Prince2 software. Try dedicate sometimes and check if you can get a better answer for your concern. Good luck!

What do I restore corrupted .mpp file?

The other quick thing to try is in a new project go Project, SubProject.
In the browse dialog deselect the Link option then select your project. It might be able to read the file and copy its data into your new file.

Software will not burn a slideshow to a DVD on my Lenovo Y560 Ideapad laptop. It doesn't even see the DVD RW drive.

Hi

I've also had the problem (only once or twice though) where the software apparently doesn't pick up my writer drive, only giving the option to burn to hard drive. In my case this seems to have been a bug that was resolved by exiting the programme and then starting it up again.

However, should this problem persist, I recommend contacting Individual Software's website for technical support - a Google search will find it quickly. Assistance is free, though you have to register your software with them first. They helped me to sort out a problem I had.

SlideShow Expressions is great and I've burned many successful slideshows. However, the software has a few bugs and from time to time issues can come up.
Of course, the User's Guide can be of great help - some people fail to notice that it is included on the install disc (pdf format).

I know what it's like to be frustrated with software when you're working with something that's suppose to be fun - photos. So, I'd like to give a few pointers when working with SlideShow Expressions.
1. The software handles large photos fine, but sometimes when a slideshow includes too many large photos (say photos of 2MB or more), it may struggle and give you a "fail to burn" message.
I've had to resize photos in the past (using Microsoft Picture Manager) to make life easier for the software (and myself). If this happens, you'll have to experiment with sizes: start with resizing your largest photos and then see how the software responds. Resizing doesn't seem to have an effect on the quality of your project; really, I couldn't tell the difference.
2. A great thing about SlideShow Expressions is that you can make quite lengthy projects, something that most commercially available software doesn't allow. I regularly create projects that contain 300 to almost 500 photos, divided into multiple chapters. However, the longer your project, the greater the chance of some bug spoiling your fun. I've mainly encountered problems in projects with around 400 photos and more.
3. The option to archive the original photos and music files on the DVD as well is great. However, as technical support informed me, this can give you "fail to burn" messages when your project is too large. So watch out for that.

Once again, I recommend contacting the technical support team at the Individual Software website. At first I hesitated, but many projects later I'm glad I did.

Good luck. From: 11407336.

Merging Projects in Suretrack 3.0

Have you tried having them directly send a back file, .prx? or do a copy and send you the multiple files. I'm not sure why the mail function isn't working, but if I remember right the mail function just initiates an email and attaches a .prx file or something similar that its trying to send. Many of the fuctions like that in the older scheduling softwares were ahead of their time and didn't work well.
