Check whether any control buttons on the front panel of the TV is strucked or not. It is best to replace all microswitches of the front panel of your tv. You have to open your tV and detach the control panel printed circuit board, desolder out one microswitch among them for a sample, and go to buy a new one. Replace all the switches at the same time. It won't cost more. They are very cheap to buy. You can bought it from most of the electronic spare part selling shops at your town. OK.

Testimonial: "Hello Gopakumar Gopalan I checked the buttons on my tv and they all appear ok. I have found now that if I keep the 'P' button depressed on the tv and select a channel with the remote that it stop scanning so there must be something wrong with the tv panel buttons as you suggest"
