My fridge is about 2yrs old I need to know how to turn of the alarm when the door is open. When I am cleaning it. I cleaned it two days ago and now it is making a terrible noise.

The alarm tells you that something's wrong something's not cooling properly or something's wrong with the defrost system if you left your doors open for quite a while it will create ice around the fan blades and that could be your noise problem. d
Disconnecting the power to your refrigerator opening the doors for about 12 hours and let it manually defrost will usually solve the problem.

Fridge verynoisey when fridge door is shut, quite when opened. now inside fridge getting warmer. where is temp control located?

Hi, Sounds like the evaporator fan blade is hitting something. Probably frost that is building up behind the rear freezer wall. Can you see fros on the rear wall? The fan shuts off while the door is open, so that is why is quiets down when you open the door. I hope this helps locate the noise. If I can assist you further, please let me know. I an help you with the defrost problem if there is frost building up.

Thank You, Vic

The refrigerator section has quit working but the freezer still works. It starting making a loud noise just before it quit. I'm just wondering if it's worth having a repair call or just replace the fridge?

Sounds as if the evap fan has quit or a defrost problem. Either is worth the repair. If the fan is running you will hear it when you open the freezer door. If you don't hear it replace the evap fan. If you have a lot of frost build up on the back wall you have a defrost problem and the air cannot flow properly. Either is worth the repair.

Some fan making a loud noise. When open either

It sounds like it is probably your evaporator fan, seeing as that fan will cycle off when the door is open, and resume when you close the door. Either some how something got in to it, or it is going bad. Hope this helps

Freezer making a loud noise.

Sounds as if the evaporator fan has shaft play or the blades are out of balance or striking something. When you open the door the pressure is equal but with the door closed the fan needs to push the air through the evaporator and return again and circle through fan again. I think soon would be a good time to unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel covering the evaporator and fan motor to inspect the fan, shaft play and the evaporator for frost buildup or any obstruction of air flow. Thanks, sea Breeze

that because the internal fan is hiting the ice or has bad bushings you can hear the noise just with the door close because when you open the door there is a switch the one turns off the internal fan so when you close the door it turn on the fan again if you wants to hear that with the door open just open the door and push the botton swich with your fingers and you'll hear the noise
