SOURCE: Washer - soap dispenser door - Magnet fell out... where does it go

I had the same problem. If you turn the dispenser so that the front faces away from you, look on the left side in the front. half way up there is a space with what looks like a plastic clip that might hold the dispenser to the front bezel. This actually holds the magnet, which can be installed without taking the dispenser apart. Be sure to install (pop in) the magnet vertically so that the long part of the magnet sits next to the right side of the dispenser opening (when viewed from the front) when the drawer is closed.

SOURCE: Fridgidare Model #LTF2940ESO won't start Error Message DDO

The code means the detergent door is open. There is a magnet placed inside the detergent door cover housing that has probably fallen out. This magnet completes a circuit when the door is closed. It usually happens when cleaning the compartment and can usually be found stuck somewhere on the washer metal body itself or somewhere on the path you took while taking it to wash it out. Take the detergent tray out and dissamble it by pushing open the plastic tabs that hold it together. Look for the small 1"long magnet. If there isn't one. take your tray assembly to a repair dealer and have them put a new one back in. It is just a few dollars and your problem will be solved.

De , on lg washing machine display?

Its a Door Error. It happens when your door is not closed properly or the side coeners are not clean. It happens even when the rusty part (small magnetic) part is missing from the door then the door does'nt close and gives an error dE. Dont worry get the magnet for the door or you can call the customer service and ask for the engineer to visit you soon. it will cost you around 500-550 rs for the service. Or change the door will cost you around 1000-1500 rs.

Up and down light not working when using my sebo x4 not changing levelsthe magnet fell off found it

Look at this video
at about 8 minutes, 54 seconds. The yellow wheel with the belt has a magnet on its right hand side, and the grey wheel has a magnet on its left and side. The magnets are sensed by a Hall Effect detector which is the thing at the end of the circuit board.

Maybe the magnet you found needs to be glued back into the recess in the wheel. Probably it needs to be the right way round, so I would look for glue residue on the magnet.

One rusty piece of metal dropped from the middle of plastic cover. Now, the washing machine lost its sensor, it keep showing dE and peep all the time. Unable to process washing. What can I do now, please...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'dE' stands for 'door Error' indicating that there is a problem either with the lid/door lock or the lid/door locked sensor requiring a service call, sorry. That piece of metal was probably part of the door lock ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

My DSC security system is reading "open" and the trouble buttom is lit up.. I do not have the alarm set up, however, it chimes every time you open the door. It was chiming every 5 seconds, what does this...

First of all go to your security box.Now you will have to find where all the sensors conect to the panell. These area's on the board are called zones such as zone 1 zone 2 and so forth.Chech and make sure no wires have came loose from the screw termanils also make sure their is no corrision (good contacts are key).If this doesent work you will need a magnet find out which zone you are having trouble with such as front door back door window ect.Now their are two different sensers one is a flush mounted senser this will look like a little box on the frame of what ever it is securing. The other one will be a inset one this will be harder to find.It will be inside the frame of what ever it is securing. In any case you wil need to run the magnet over this device and see if the panel will reset. If this hapens then you know that their is something wrong with the orig. magnet.(When you shut the door or window the orig. magnet will align with the senser). Some times the distance between the senser and the magnet will effect the senser. If the senser is a flush mounted senser then their will be some wires you can acess to see if they are making contact.

((((( I DO NOT RECOMENT THIS ONE. IF YOU TRY THIS ONE YOU WILL NOT BE PROTECTING THIS ZONE AND SOMEONE CAN NOW BREAK IN )))))The next thing to try is to simply look on the panel door and read where it says which resistor it needs and where it goes on the panel in relationship to the correct zone buy the resistor and install it in the panel.

((((( I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS ONE. IF YOU TRY THIS ONE YOU WILL NOT BE PROTECTING THIS ZONE AND SOMEONE CAN NOW BREAK IN)))))The next thing to try is the zone bypass. The instructions on how to do this should be on the back of the key pad door.

The next thing to try is to look in the senser to see if it has a battery. Some sensers have a battery and they need to be replaced from time to time. Now I have been asuming that this is a senser on a door or a window but their are other sensors that are optional on this panel as well.Check all wires on these batterys and make sure all outer housings are securly on the sensors.

If none of this works then you probably either have something wrong with the wireing or the panel its self is faulty. If so contact a security technician.

WAter fill message will not clear

2 things to check ..when was the last time you properly descaled the unit ? If the waterflow is restricted inside the lines and the boiler ,the interior flow meter signals the computer to show insufficient flow ..clean /descale .
If magnet floats to the top of the small lid that keeps it in the little chamber . If it does not float or partially sinks it is defective ..leaks through a tiny hole in the plastic and water filled the grey magnet with some water (adds weight ) then rusted the strong magnet into rusty magnetic powder and loses magnetic force .
You can use a new good strong magnet to see if the sensor is good by placing it where the old one was .Light should go OFF
The overall important service is to keep the scale out of any machine as much as you can .
