Not likely as low voltage should shut the inverter down. Check your battery anyway. 13.5vdc fully charged and each cell that is bad is about 2.25vdc off that. Sounds like the inverter has had an internal failure and unless you are an electronics tech, beyond your capabilities to repair without serious training.
That's kind of what I was thinking, but not sure. I've had a couple of batteries in my 4 batt system go bad before and didn't have this kind of problem. Also when I run the microwave for 1.5 minutes I smell ozone coming from the inverter. Thanks for your input, was pretty sure I'd need to buy a new one but didn't want to untill I was sure this one was kaput.
Ozone is created when electricity arcs and an inverter should not be working at such high voltages that arcing is easy so must be a high current arc, which is not good. I'm surprised that it even works to run the microwave for that long! Sorry that the answer is going to cost you some bucks but at least they are down in price due to increased consumer use. Just had to buy a small one (600W) and got it on eBay for a fair price compared to what they guy originally paid several years ago so recommend doing some comparison shopping before you make a final purchase. Don't go for the cheapest, but get what you can afford. Good luck!

Where do all green wires connect to on the honda Eu 1000i inverter?
I have a roadpro 1500w inverter. The fault light is on and there is no output. What should I check to trouble shoot?
SOURCE: Vector vec 051D 3000 watt fan won't run anymore, unit overheats
your inverter needs to cool at all times , if the fan does not work, try buying a small standing fan to blow cool air to you machine, it is possible that your heater is making the inverter to over heat please avoid using the heater on the inverter
SOURCE: When my batteries run low on power the generator
please check the voltage your generator is supplying to the to the inverter because a high voltage and frequency can make the relays in the inverter to make clicking sounds, and also do not allow your inverter batteries to run completely low before you charge it

The starts up power for some appliances we use at home are
sometimes higher than their actual power. For example a fridge will start with
a power of 2 to 3kva then after start up it goes down to its normal power of
700va to 1kva .
Your inverter will continue to switch off if your if you
battery is
The solution is to get a battery with a higher ampere rating
like 200ampere/hour and above, connect it in parallel to the other battery i.e.
the positive terminal to the positive terminal, the negative terminal to the
negative terminal. This additional will accommodate the excess power needed for
the microwave to start up.
Note that it is not advisable, to use this type of power
appliance on a small inverter .Use a battery with the same volt rating i.e. a if you use a 24volts battery get another 24volts battery with a higher ampere rating
