How do I get pictures off my Casio G'zone S with a broken screen?

I have a Casio G'zone type S, the screen is broken, but I wanted to get the pictures off of it. I have the USB cord, but my computer will not recognize it? I've tried to find a driver for it... but no luck. Any suggestions?

The phone doesn't have a removeable memory card & I tried to go through "my computer" & click the USB drive, it said it was empty? maybe it's just my computer. Maybe I should try a friend's?

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

you might want to try it with a computer running Windows Vista - older operating systems will generally tell you that something is plugged into the USB port but will not allow you to access it as it does not recognize new software.

SOURCE: computer will not recognize wd1600c032

open up the case and pull the driver out. put the jumper to SL (slave) and plug it directly into *********** boards ribon cable after your windows drive (XP), if it does not recognize it try moving the jumper to the CL (cable select) see then, remember to turn off your computer before doing this each time. if either computer still does not see the drive the drive is probably bad. they dont last a long time if you leave it turned on and running all the time. they tend to get hot and burn out. if the drive it self is SATA you will need an adaptor, if its IDE (wide ribbon cable) it should plug in and be seen. hope this helps.

Is this an inbuilt drive or an external drive? If you're using USB, it needs a USB connection. It shouldn't need drivers as the computer will automatically detect a hard drive.

Have you tried connecting to a completely different computer to see if that recognised it?

Welcome to FixYa!
I assume that you have a Windows 7 operating system.
Solution 1. Run the "Auto detect and fix utility" of Windows 7. Click start, then type "find and fix problems" in the search box. On the results, click "find and fix problems with devices".

  • A windows will show up, click "next".
  • It will try to detect and fix a non functional device that is attached or inside the computer.

Solution 2. Do an online auto fix from Microsoft. Keep me posted. Thanks for using FixYa.
Have a great day. Jas247

Casio g'zone phone with broken screen main screen.

This is most likely a broken data ribbon. It is a few very thin wires that connects the mother board of the phone to the screen and can easily break with flip phones. It can be replaced and new data ribbon is cheap.

How can I download pictures with no screen with the G'zOne?

If it has a memory card, with photos stored on it you can put the card into your computer reader and download them. Otherwise, you need to see it you can find software (use google to search) for your phone and use cable to connect it to your computer. If neither of these work, trash the phone and chalk it up. Get one that uses a memory card.

Inside screen is broken on my Casio G'zOne Type S. I need someone to guide me thru exactly what buttons to push to enable Mass Storage Mode to transfer all my data!!!! help

Hi well that's no good... However you also maybe able to replace the screen if it is just broken, to do this all you need to do is obtain a new screen and replace it, it isn't too hard of a task, a little "Fiddly" but if you are careful it's easy. Usually these can be obtained on Ebay or the 'net, and often come with all instructions and tools to do the job.
To get the Data off and transfer into Mass Storage mode? Well there is a couple of ways to get the data off the phone, One take out the SD card and use a USB - SD Memory card reader and pop it into a PC and simply use it like a drive. or use the manual link below to download your manual, and inside in detail you will find the steps required to put your phone into the "Mode" you need. You may need to obtain a "Driver" for the phone and install it into the PC you wish to use? This will all be in the manual though, as they are all different.

below is your user manual.

Also one can obtain software to "Clone" your phone, and or SD memory card, should you wish to do this? Simply search the 'net and download and use whichever program you like the look of and feel will be the easiest to use for you.

How do i remove a broken screen to replace with another from another phone. inside screen. just glass broken

Is just the glass broken? The LCD screen underneath the glass also could be broken. But if it is just the glass in front of that, go on ebay and search for the inside glass lens. Also, you can find directions to change anything at all just search it on google.
