On your browser, Where there are tabs or under the adress bar. Right click and it should come up with some of the Add-Ons that are applied and active. If its not on there, you may need to reinstall or Manually Activate the toolbar from the Manage Add-Ons Option.

Unable to get Yahoo as home page and Google/ Windows Toolbar

If you're using Internet Explorer, click on "Tools", then "Internet Options". You can set your home page to Yahoo on the first page (save that). On the Programs tab, you'll see Manage Add-Ins. That's where you restore the Google Toolbar. If you're using another browser, go to Google, enter the name of the browser and "set home page".

Just got a new laptop. want to make yahoo my home page. When I log onto computer thru internet explorer, i can;t bring up my mail. Not sure what the problem is. Help?

install the latest version of the Yahoo toolbar & see if that solves the problem. One of the options during installation is to include a mail add-in and to set Yahoo as the default mail. If you don't want to use the toolbar, it can always be hidden from view

My computer has been slammed with a Google home page when I had a Yahoo home page and was very happy with it-why?

You probably installed some software and allowed that software (such as Adobe Reader) to install the Google Toolbar.

Close Internet Explorer
Open "Control Panel"
Open "Add/Remove Programs"
Select "Google Toolbar"
Uninstall it
Start Internet Explorer
Change the "home" page back to ''.

How to reset toolbar

Yahoo toolbar only allows to be deleted from the computer once installed. Deciding to delete toolbars requires ascertaining the location where the program is embeded. For example, toolbars maybe located on the computers desktop as an icon deleteable by right clinking on the icon to make availble the delete feature. Also, the toolbar may have been installed to complement several program least deleteable. For example, the yahoo internet browser is downloaded together with yahoo chats messengers, tool bars amongs several function internet features. It becomes impossible to delete the dispaly tool bar as means to removing the prorgams. Decide on the situation requesting tool bar deletion to determine the processes of resolution. Uninstalling the entire yahoo bundle of prorgams would make least available yahoo features completely. Once yahoo has bundle prorgams have be uninstalled, the computer lacks the program fucntions priorly provided and require replacement either with an improvde yahoo program or similar prorgams like msn, mozzilla, chrome, googgle, internet 8 as only mentioble internet browser prorgams.

How do i get my yahoo toolbar back? I installed "my web search" and didn't want it-tried unsuccessfully in uninstall it; now i can't even get to my emails or home page! I don't know much about computers.

I may be of little help. Are you using windows IE, internet explorer. if so on right there is a Tools. Click it and it will list several settings. go to toolbar and if yahoo toolbar is listed make sure it has a check mark by it. I see in you question that you may have tried this. There should be away to restore toolbar. You or somebody may have clicked x on left side of of toolbar.

With the new IE8 and the newest version of yahoo toolbar IM un-able to save new pages to bookmarks. when i try to save a new page my computer freezes/locks and I must shut the computer down to closes tabs....

There must be a bug in their new toolbar...  until they fix the bug, try delicious bookmarks, an free online bookmarking service that stores and protects your bookmarks online so you can access and organize them from any computer (and it has a toolbar):
