Question about Whirlpool GEW9200L Electric Dryer

1 Answer

Whirlpool Dryer GEQ9800LW0 won't turn on

When I push the "on" button, it clicks but the dryer won't turn on. If I push it again, it doesn't even click. However, if I reselect a cycle by turning it to an off position on the cycle selector dial, and then back to an "on" posiiton, the button will again click, but the dryer still won't come on. I can hear the timer running if I leave the cycle selector dial in an "ON" cycle. Please help!!!

Check power to the inlet valve, if absent let the program move forward and if the motor does not work either it is possible that thetimer though ticking is not contacting.
So go back to check for the wash cycle, when start is pushed, inlet valve on, water comes in, water fills , triggers level sensors, washing starts with motor on.
If there is no voltage on any parts ,the timer contactor is faulty

Whirlpool Dryer won't turn on. Push start button replaced.... getting power throughout dryer (tested) ...is there a reset button? does the dryer turn on even if heating element not working?

The small white skinny fuse on back of dryer is probably blown. Remove all air restrictions before replacing it or it will blow again and again.
