Would anyone know how to open a Phillips 313923810941? Its a basic tapered remote for TV with the red, green, yellow and red buttons along top, underneath the power button. Pretty sure i can fix it if i could get it open. Have already taken the screw out.

This remote control is not clicked as you may expect, it's been screwed inside.
To open the remote control, you have to gently peel off the front gray panel using a unsharp knife, beginning to the top (near the power button).
Once removed, you can access to 10 small screws that holds the blue frame (partly visible on the edge).
Once opened you can access to the electronic and the buttons.
Then you will certainly be disappointed to discover that some buttons (the Power for example) are not reparable. A small pin breaks when excessive force is applied. Gluing this pin does not help either.
This is a throw away remote control, better buy a universal that does the most used functions.
* Point it at a TV set and press the Mute/Power button. (Mute button if
TV is already on, or Power button if the TV hasnt already been turned on)
* Keep pointing it at the TV until the TV turns on or muted, most TVs respond in about
5 seconds, the most is up to 20 seconds. (Other universal television remote you find in
stores take minutes to program and enter long confusing codes)
* Once the TV is muted or turns on, simply let go of button and you have total
control. You can use the remote as if you had the original remote, and responds instantly. ENJOY YOUR FREEDOM of choices
with our remote!
Most remote controls require minutes of programming a universal remote code
into each television while you read the confusing instruction manual.
Hello, Well I have a Phillips universal remote but but maybe they are the same. For the Orion TV try 105, 115, or 713. For The Pioneer DVD Try 042. If one or more does not work, Look for a "code Search" button. Turn on the device, then push and hold down the code search button until the red indicator stays on, then release the search button. Press and quickly release the desired mode button (TV, DVD, etc). The red indicator blinks off once. . If it is a tv or vcr use the channel up button until the channel changes. Press the power button on DVD and see if it is right Hope this helps.
For the majority of phillips/magnavox universal remotes: Hold code search button down till red light satys on. Press the tv button and the red light should blink and stay lit. With the tv on, push the power button repeatedly until the tv turns off.(dont push the power button again after the tv turns off or it will go to the next code). Push the mute button to save the setting.
