Immediate shutdown, Heat problem, Low battery back-up

Hi, Am using insipiron-1525 T-5750, 2gb ram, Intel core 2 duo 2ghz. with Vista Home premium. I bought it 6 months before. Now, Computer automatically shuts down while working. The shutting down process is not in the traditional manner, It goes off as someone hibernated it. and when it restarts, it starts as if it was shut down.
It gets heated up like burning my thighs in small time. My class bought 20 similar machines and am facing the most heat problem.
The 6 cell battery works well if working on microsoft office. But watching a movie on battery is like watching movie till interval. It merely crosses 75 minutes.

I have the same computer and had the same issues. It finally got to the point where it no longer tured on at all. I sent it in to Dell and they repaired in about 2 weeks. Send it in now before your warranty expires. But be sure to call support first and get an RMA number or you may never see your system again.

When i have my entourage open my macbook slow down a lot i only have 1g of ram

If your Entourage database is rather large, it would definitely slow down your laptop. I'd highly recommend moving to the maximum RAM your laptop can take, even if your particular laptop can only take 2GB. Can you tell me the processor speed and model (e.g., 2GHz Core Duo or 2.16ghz Core 2 Duo)?

Vist slow

Try increasing your RAM to 2GB ... 1GB is barely enough to run the OS, let alone an app or two.

Amd turion x2 rm70 vs intel core 2 duo t5750!!!!

I read this and don't believe you - yes the AMD dual core gets hot - yes AMD processor are HOT processors - is intel better - no there on par with AMD - the thu put rate is so close it doesn't matter - now vista basic is just that BASIC - if you want to bump it up - home premium 32 or 64 but ultimate 64 should get it going.
