We have a Talkswitch CT TS001.1 phone system. The phone system itself was replaced about 2 years ago. One of the anaglog phones is about 3 years old and the other 2 analog phones are much older. I have the user manuals and know how to use the phones but the manuals don't provide sufficient trouble shooting tips.

SOURCE: TalkSwitch 48 disconnects call after transfer

You are using the wrong option for transfer -- the one you are using is a conference which requires the person transferring the call to stay on the line. You need the option which permits a blind transfer or announced transfer. This issue is specifically discussed in the manual.

We have a Talkswitch system at our office. My Talkswitch 480i now seems to has lost its brains. When I power it down now, it does not seem to talk to the switch to obtain its configuration. It always...

The problem would seem like the phone is not finding the TalkSwitch system, or the configuration file for the phone does not exist. There are usually only 3 things that can cause this issue to occur:

1. Verify that the IP address for the TFTP Server, this must be your current public IP address. This can be found in the phone's menu under Networking -> TFTP Server -> Primary TFTP Server

2. Ensure that port 69 is open in the firewall at the TalkSwitch's side. Run the TS firewall test to confirm that it passes.

3. Confirm that you have the correct MAC address entered in for the Extension in the TalkSwitch software

Unparking calls feature does not work

Press the hook-switch and release it immediately; this is what the 'flash' button simulates doing. In other words hang your phone up for half a second or less and you have sent a 'flash' signal. This will work with any analog phone. If you have ever used traditional call waiting from your home telephone it is exactly the same.

Somethings wrong!

Sorry to have to ask all these questions, but they are necessary to try to help figure out what is going on. I need to know what TalkSwitch system model you are using and what version of software it is running. A system serial number is required if I need to contact my distributor. If you could provide the current configuration file on the system, that may help as well.

I am an authorized TalkSwitch Partner and will try to assist you.
