GBSA: Depending on which auto attendent you have, which is
an add on device to your phone system, you will either have to go to the actual unit and access it via a jack, some have built in CD mikes and re-record the message. The newer units have an access code that you dial from your extension unit allowing you to make the change from there. Thank You. Jerry

As far as changing the # of rings, that may be your phone company. Feature 983 will get you in to change to number of rings. It goes as follows:
System coordinator mailbox # and password
Enter Line Number
Enter the desired number of rings
If after changing the number of rings the Auto atendant does not pick up at all, You have to call your phone company and set up the second delay through them. We had the same problem here.

It's not in the maual, because it's not part of your phone system unless you have PRI trunks. On standard loop start central office lines, it's a function of the dial tone provider. Carl

to reset the administrator pasword enter feature 985 press 9, at the password prompt enter 73738767793 (resetsmpwsd) and press ok or #,press yes to reset password. password should be defaulted to 0000. then try Feature 983. if your system has 2 digit intercom #s your password is 120000 if your system has 3 digit intercom #s your password is 1020000. once you have entered the password you will see 3 selections you can make .use the three soft keys under the display and select AA (auto Attendant). next press greeting and greeting again. next it'll ask for the greeting number your probably working with greeting 1. press record to start and ok when finished. dont forget to save the greeting or it will be deleted if you exit early. hang up when finished

It could be a simple as the phone has call forwarding to another extension set up on it or the direct line could also be programmed on the other set. Does the screen on the non- ringing m7208 display "forward to:xxx" or does it display the current day and time?
