My advice would be to to check out the website below.

http://applianceguru.com/category1/

this website will be invaluable to you if you want to repair your machine yourself. Calling an appliance repair service will be very expensive often resulting in buying a new unit do to the repair cost and labor charges if your appliance is fairly old. But at this site simply punch in your model number (they will even tell you how to find that) and a diagram will come up with all the parts for your machine.

The site will also help you troubleshoot your machine to determiine what parts you will need. You will then find videos to help you do the repairs. And the best thing of all is , if you order the part they are delivered FAST and if it turns out not to be the problem you can return the part for reimbursement. If you have ever had an appliance repair done and they installed a part that wasnt the problem you were stuckl paying for it and the next part they wuld think the problem was!.

Still having a problem then hit their forum and post a message explaining your symptoms and model ect and you will quickly have someone giving you advice on how to repair ect. Or simply type in your symptoms and search the forum and I will almost bet someone has already posted the same problem with your brand and and an answer will immediately be found.

Good Luck and don't let appliances intimidate you they are VERY simply machines once you realize how they work and how simple they are constructed.

SOURCE: kenmore Front load washer model

I have a kenmore front load washer, model: 417 42042100
It makes loud noise and becomes louder during the spin cycle.
The drum is loose when I inspected through the front door.
My problem is how to open the cabinet and replace any broken parts.

Thanks.

SOURCE: Kenmore front load washer will not spin

Although I had just cleaned the filter about 5 weeks ago, my wife had recently washed a pillow that came apart in the wash. I did not know this but noticed the clothes dripping wet after the high speed cycle. I was thinking it was the drain problem like I read in the post from bluefuzz. I pulled the filter and it was LOADED full. Before calling the repairman, CHECK YOUR FILTER! You won't need to disconnect any hoses.

Did any power surge happen yesterday? Check for any loose connections. If there is no power entering the machine , check connecting any other machine like oven or any electrically running machine or device at the power outlet and check the power.

If the power at the outlet is fine then i am sure the problem must be control board of the washer. You have to check the power to the control board. How handy you are doing that? Do you ahve an multimeter at home?

Large loads won't balance & spin

Could be:
1. Broken spring(unlikely)
2. Bad shock absorbers (maybe)
3. Broken spyder-the Inner drum part that holds the drum to the hub(kinda likely). If inner drum can be moved without outer tub also moving in tandem, then broken spyder is likely.
Good luck

Washer won't start.....F70 code appeared It's a Whirlpool Duet

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F70 is a communication error which is caused when no communication is detected from the user interface to the CCU (central control unit). Please check the wiring to user interface and the central control unit, if that is fine and you can see the drum rotating then replacing the user interface is recommended repair. If the drum won't turn then the CCU needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Front loader washer machine not rotating.

Fisrt, see if you can rotate it by hand, BOTH directions. It should have some resistance. If you can spin it and when you stop pushing it will turn a full turn, your drum belt is too loose. If the belt is good and tight, it will spin less than one half rotation, there is probably something blocking one of the wheels that the drum rides on.
