JVC KD-G310 in dash car cd player

I just bought a used JVC cd player for my blazer. I got it at a pawn shop where the guy hooked it up and everything worked. It came with the wiring harness and everything. I installed it in my car and now I cannot get it to work. Everything appears to be wired correctly. The power, ground, remote, acc, and speaker wires are hooked up. I should add that I had to buy a new deck because something shorted out in my old one and fried it's internal amp. Could it be that when the old one fried it messed up something else in the cars wiring. I doulble checked all my fuses and they are good. Can anyone give me any advice?
