Question about Frigidaire FGX831C Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

Rinse water fills the washing machine when the spin cycle starts

The machine goes thru the cycle until it gets to the final spin. The final rinse water starts to pump out, but the machins turns the water fill back on during the drain pumping. Then the machine spins with a load of rinse water in it that can't pump out because the drain pump stopped with the start of the spin.

Premm, Please pay attention to the problem before you blurt out a "fixall soluion" that has absoutly no relevance to the situation!

Again, the water pumps out fine if the feed valve is closed. The machine thinks it is supposed to turn the water on when it does the final spin. WHY DOES IT TRY TO REFILL THE TUB WHEN IT TURNS ON THE PUMP?

  • Anonymous Mar 12, 2014

On rinse cycle the machine will not rinse and water does not drain.

  • Anonymous Mar 12, 2014

machine does not fill on the rinse cycle

  • Anonymous Mar 13, 2014

The water filled up, the lid was closed and then the washer turned off and now will not turn back on or go through a rinse, spin cycle, and will not drain.

my hoover washing machine start the wash normal, but it does not complete the wash.before it goes into rinse the time saver light comes on and the machine stop turning. I tried to switch to spin or drain but its not working

Machine won't drain from final rinse cycle to then move to drain and spin

  • Anonymous Mar 17, 2014

Low water on rinse cycle until you reset start/stop knob

  • Anonymous Mar 18, 2014

Shortly after a wash cycle begins, all indicator lights light up and beep incessantly until a button is pushed. We can bypass it by running a rinse and spin, but this is a constant problem.

  • Anonymous Mar 18, 2014

not spinning out water on last rinse

  • Anonymous Mar 19, 2014

fills up with water but will not start cycle .I can manually turn the timer to engage it in the drain mode turning it passed the wash cycle directly to the rince cycle and it will drain the water out and spin and stop.

  • Anonymous Mar 20, 2014

WAshibng machine trips RCD when washing, usually at the filling stage. Machine will operate on spin/rinse cycle with no problem. Suspect it is the heater.

  • Anonymous Mar 20, 2014

All indicator lights function. A few seconds into cycle (just as water begins to fill) the door lock disengages, the lock indicator light goes out and cycle stops. The door lock assembly seems the obvious problem. Is there a way to determine instead of guessing?

  • Anonymous Mar 21, 2014

water enter, detergrent goes thru machine, cycle runs but noo movement

  • Anonymous Mar 23, 2014

my washer operates normally in all other ways, but when I try to use the rinse and spin option it does not fill with water. There is noise but no water enters. The machine cycles, agitates and spins as if it were working but clothes come out as dry as they entered.

  • Anonymous Mar 23, 2014

Red light comes on and i've check the filter/pump outlet which has been clear of debris but still no action from Washing machine. Red light flashes then goes constant but no water pumped or spinning at all.

The cold water "fill" will not cut off and stop flowing into the machine during either the wash or rinse cycle

  • Anonymous Mar 29, 2014

stops during rinse cycle and the water will not drain

  • Anonymous Mar 29, 2014

When starting a load of wash water goes out the drain instead of filling up in the drum where clothes are, have to plug the drain hose and then it starts to fill, does in both when starting a load and when starting rinse cycle.

Machine fills with water. Completes the wash cycle and drains. It hangs when it gets to the rinse cycle. I can cancel the cycle and switch the machine to the rinse cycle and it will complete.

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.

Roper washing machine does not fill for rinse cycle. Goes directly to rinse agitate without water.

Without Model number I am only guessing but I suspect you have a blocked sensing tube that travels from the Level selector switch to the side of the tub somewhere. It is possible for this plastic tube to become partially clogged and not allow trapped air to vent when tub is drained of water. Usually this problem manifests itself as an overflow of the tub. Check the full length of this clear hose and see if the end nearest the tub looks like it may have debris or dirty detergent clogging it.

This hose is pushed onto a nipple mounted to a reservoir on the side of the tub. Push a thin copper wire 4-5 inches into the those after removing from nipple and also down into the nipple an inch or two before reinstalling the hose to the nipple. You MIGHT even blow into the hose while you have it off and you SHOULD hear a clicking sound coming from the level selector switch body.

Good Luck. Come back with Model number under lid if that doesn't help.

I load washer it starts the wash cycle it goes through wash cycle fine drains water but does not collect water for rinse cycle it just idles. So I turn knob to spin and it spins until done.

If it doesn't fill for the rinse, I would say that the cold inlet valve has failed. Check that the cold tap is turned on and check when the machine fills for the wash cycle and see if it is taking hot or cold water. You will probably find that it is filling only with hot water. A local spares store should have the valve you need.

Kenmore washer series 80, Clothes still soapy

If you are getting no water spray during the rinse cycle that would cause the soapy clothes issue.

Are you getting cold water during the wash/rinse cycles? If you have the machine set to warm/warm you may only be getting hot water while the final spin is calling for cold.

If you have cold water available then the timer is not calling for the water spray. The problem is either in the mixing valve or the timer.

Will not automatically switch from washing spin to rinse.

check to make sure you have both the hot and cold water lines connected and the water is turned on. sometimes the hot or cold line will clog up and it will not fill up during the rinse cycle. the humming sound may be the water valve coming on but no water is coming thru.

if you have a warm rinse set it to that to see if this is the problem.
you can clean the screens on the water valve by taking the water inlet hoses off the machine and you can look at the screens onside.
if not it may be a timer problem.

Intuitive eco Iw811 Rinse 1 no water coming thru!

the 1st rinse light is normally set to "spray rinse", this means the machine will pump out the water, spin at medium speed then pulse cold water into the machine, this occurs for about 2 mins, then the machine will spin out, and advance for the final rinse which is a deep rinse.
