Question about Kitchen Ranges

Bosch Extractor Hood

A short while ago we had our kitchen re-fitted. At that several Bosch appliances were installed, one of them being an Extractor Hood. the model we had fitted is a DWA09W451B. We are currently redecorating the kitchen walls and would like to remove the curved glass panel from the hood. We have removed the trunking above the unit with no problem. It then appear the glass panel is held in situ with two plastic clips (one on each side). To understand how they are fitted I tried reviewing your download copies of instruction manuals, but the system was not working. i manage to get into the Spare-Part section and it appears from the diagrams that the clips slide onto a cutout into the glass. However I cannot get the clips to move. I am conscious of not wanting to break the glass panel and ideally not to damage the clips, however I am not certain how to remove the clips. Therefore could you please give me details how I can remove the glass panel / clips as appropriate.

Look at the instruction/installation manual.
Are the bulbs 12volts or 120vac? If it is 12v there is a transformer that might be shorting to ground. If no transformer, the control panel or the control board has a short.

Bosch dke 935 90cm hood. light and extractor not working

The fuse will be located in the switch or socket that the hood is connected to. This is sometimes inside the flue on the back wall. There should be two small screws either side of the chimney located at the top, unscrew and slide one part of the chimney down, please be careful as stainless steel has very sharp edges.

Hi My extractor hood in the kitchen has a hose that goes into the kitchen roof then out through the roof vents. The problem is that all the cold and wind comes back down the hose and makes the kitchen very...

You need to install a damper. It sounds like your vent now just vents into the attic and out the attic vents. If that is the case, or even if it vents directly to a roof vent, you can install a damper that only lets air flowe one direction.

springload.gif Here is just one source of many that you can purchse dampers from.

The damper would be installed in the exhaust duct. If your vent pipe is connected to a roofmounted vent, you can replace the vent with a dampered vent.

Neff extractor fan not working

I have a similar problem with a Whirlpool oven hood. In my case the kitchen fiitters used a (UK) standard 3-pin plug to power the hood. The plug is fitted into a socket that is placed on top of the cupboards that house the hood.
I have replaced the 3 amp fuse in the plug and now the fan is working.
HOwever, the light isn't working and so I'm assuming that the bulb has blown and that this has caused the fuse to blow as well.
Now my problem is accessing the bulb so that I can replace it.
