Question about RCA M4202 MP3 Player
Sudenly my RCA M4202 MP3 Player showed a "creating database" message and stayed like that for a long time (about an hour or so), and turned itself off afterwards.
Every time I have tried to turn it on after this, it displays a the OPAL simbol and a initializing message for about 5 seconds and then the display turns off and the key buttons are still illuminated but do not respond by pressing them.
I have made sure that the battery is fully charged and I have also tried having only a few songs on it, no songs at all (I deleted them while it was connected to my PC), I tried to reset it by pressing the menu button for more than ten seconds but nothing has changed, it is still behaving the same.
This is the firmware going bad.
You need to go to the RCA website and download the firmware for your player.
After you download the firmware.
Connect your mp3 player to usb device of your pc.
Then install the the newly downloaded firmware.
