Do you have a password on your wifi router?
You can temporarily remove the password/encrption and see if your Wii will connect. There may be an issue with the encryption mode that you have chosen on your router.

Unable to connect with wifi code 61070

Error codes with that range are normally caused by unstable connections. It may be that the Nintendo servers are experiencing high traffic, or your connection may be unstable. Make sure you have a clear connection to your wireless connection (router, etc) or try again later.
It may also be that you need to change some connection settings on your router, such as your channel, firewall settings, or UDP.

Error code 209600

f you are attempting to connect your Wii console online using a wireless router and you receive this error :

Ensure you are using a broadband or high speed internet connection such as cable, DSL, or fiber optics. Slower connections, such as dial up, may cause issues with the Wii or may not work properly.

Ensure there is no interfering devices by shutting off microwaves, cordless phones, wireless keyboards, and wireless mice.

Diable your firewall settings, as it may be causing a connection problem.

Try changing the channel of your wireless router to either channel 1 or channel 11 which can increase download speeds. Be sure to test both channels to see which works better or faster.

If you are using a Netgear wireless router, disable the SPI firewall setting which is usually found under the WAN Settings of your wireless router.

If you are attempting to connect your Wii console online using the Nintendo Wireless (Wi-Fi) USB Connector and you receive this error :

If your PC is using security features or programs such as a firewall, antivirus, or antispyware, check all settings of these security features or programs to allow a successful connection.

You may try adding the following programs to your firewall list of "Trusted" applications

  • Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector USB (NintendoWFCReg.exe)
  • Setup.exe (when installing the USB Connector)
  • SoftAPInstDrv.bin
  • mdriver.exe

Temporarily disable your router's firewall which may allow the Wii console to connect online to recieve a system update. After, you may turn your firewall back on.

When I try and go onto the web browser it says "The system memory is damaged." When I test the connection settings it goes red then green then back to red and I get an error code: 052200-1.

hi there,
this error code indicates that there is a problem with your firewall settings on your router not allowing your dsi to connect to the internet, while your dsi can connect to your router it's not allowing it to access the internet. The best way to get to the firewall settings is to find out your router ip address. most routers have the ip 192.168.1.1, but to be sure from a pc click on start, in the search field enter cmd, and open up command prompt. in here type "ipconfig" and this should bring you up your computer ip and your routers, the router been the "default gateway" so whatever number is after the default gateway type this into your browser to access your routers settings. you may need to contact nintendo or your isp provider to help you change the settings here to allow your dsi to access the internet. The default port number the dsi uses is 8080, so perhaps your router is blocking this port number for some reason, and you need to unblock it. Hope this helps and best of luck with it.

So i was at my aunts i played it on an hd tv then i went to hook it up on my normal one and everything comes up all lights are on but nothing comes up and no sound.

This means your PS3 is still on HDTV settings. Turn the PS3 off (so that the light is red), then hold your finger over the on button until the screen appears. Holding it down resets the video settings to 480p, allowing you to configure it as you wish.

You can only do it by connecting your PS3 to PC with an Ethernet cable

- Right click Cricket Broadband Connection>>Properties>>Advanced Tab>>Click on allow other network users to connect through his connection>>Click OK
- Click create a new connection under Network Tasks in Network Connections window
- Connection Wizard comes up >>Click Next Click Set up home/office network
- Click Finish>>Click Next 2x>> If found disconnected hardware comes up click Ignore box
- Click Next>>Click This computer connects directly to internet(1st option)>>Click next
- Select Cricket BB>>Next>>Select Ethernet Connection that shows up, deselect any other that may appear>>Click Next 3x
- Turn on File and Printer Sharing>>Click Next 2x>>Click Finish
- Must restart PC to apply settings
- Once PC restarts Start menu>>Control Panel>>Network and Internet connections>>Network Connections
- Right click Cricket BB>>Properties>>Advanced Tab>>Firewall Settings>>Click to off
- Do same for ne LAN connection. Right click>>Properties>>Advanced Tab>>Firewall settings>>Click to Off
Restart PC again, as it is booting up turn on ps3>>Connect to Cricket BB
Then on PS3 go to Network Settings>>Set up connection>>Easy>>Hit X for everything that comes up, test connection and DONE

Im trying to update my xbox but it wont connect ive done everything it told me but still wont let me

Here's how I fixed mine. When I got the message stating that the download was unsuccessful I went into settings, then network, and I tested my network connection. During a network test it automatically logs your profile out, but when the test came back good, before it logged my profile back in, it asked me to update again. I hit "a" to accept the update and it worked this time. I think the key is that it has to attempt the update before logging your profile back in. I think the key is updating with the profile logged out, which under normal circumstances you can't do, only during a network test.

If that fix doesn't work you might try going into your network settings in the dashboard and lowering your firewall restrictions, then updating, then putting your firewall restrictions back to what they were.

That's usually a problem related to wireless security. You'll want to try to make sure your computers can connect to the wireless--or see if it's working or not.

If everything is good. Make sure the password you have on your Wii to connect your console to the wifi is good.

That should work... if not, reset your wifi settings and try again!

Connecting Ninentendo DS with Nintendo WiFi USB connector

The Windows XP Service Pack 2 firewall is actually Norton Personal firewall re-branded with a simplified front end, Microsoft couldn't get they're own firewall to do the job properly (got to love MS quality!). As such he Windows XP Service Pack 2 firewall will offer you as much protection as any other commercial firewall out there. Your Nintendo WiFi USB adapter uses soft AP, in other words it uses a software WiFi Access Point to connect your DS to the web, as well as being able to make a connection to the web it also needs to make a connection between your PC and the DS and you need to think of these as separate networks because that is in-fact what they are. Make sure the second network is allowed in your McAfee firewall, that the Nintendo software is allowed to act as a server and that it is allowed to serve DHCP, in other words that it is allowed to assign IP addresses. The McAfee User Interface is about as friendly, intuitive and helpful as a dead squirrel so this may be a good time to do a bit of reading on ts.mcafeehelp.com
