We have about a dozen Monarch thermal transfer printers (9800 series) that we are trying to print to via SAP software. Is anybody successfully printing to Monarch printers from SAP? How do I get the drivers?

Drivers for monarch paxer printer

The printer doesn't have to have drivers. You can use the programmer's manual from here:

or you can use drivers from companies like Seagull Scientific, which allow you to create a label using something like Word, and then their drivers create a graphic image of the label you want, and in the language that the printer understands, which allows it to print out like you like.

Seagull would likely have to provide the real help here, but it sounds like your Seagull drivers are not using the correct supply setting. If the supplies have a black mark on the back of the liner, then set your driver up as black mark. If they ONLY have a small gap between the labels, then set it up as die cut. If it has a die cut and a black mark, set them up as black mark.

It is also possible that your sensor is dirty, damaged, or covered up so that the printer cannot see the supplies. If you're not using Monarch/Paxar/Avery Dennison supplies, then the index mark (die cut or black mark) may not be to the printer's specification and it just doesn't know when to start and stop on a label.
