Are you hooking up an aftermarket amplifier?the remote turn on wire is your blue with white trace.if you are not hooking up an aftermarket amplifier, you typically will not need it. what kind of car are you putting it into?some vehicles with a factory amplifier will require this wire to be connected to turn the amp on so you have sound. try not connecting it, and if you have sound, youre fine. if not, let me know what kind of car you have

It looks like the S-video you need one end to be male and the other is female end.The high quality the S-video wire the better the sound.Make sure you get a long enough cord. Take it with you to radio shack or and car audio or home audio find the female end of the S-Video and it should plug in perfect.Wire it up and enjoy some tunes

SOURCE: i just got a kenwood subwoofer KSC SW2000 with

Hello mikealtre,

Hopefully there's enough of the wires left to see their colors.

Here's a link to the manual. Other than the speaker level inputs, there's only 3 wires you need to be concerned with. Yellow is main power, black is ground, and blue is remote.

Hope this helps.

I just got the Kenwood Sub KSC WA100 from my cousin with no electric wires or nothing so pretty much what all do i need and where can i find it i will be putting it in a 07 nissan sentra 2.0

Subs are subs, they come with no wiring. You need an amp and all necessary wiring to get it bumping. What type of deck do you have? Where will the sub be placed? In the trunk? Amp install is easy. Also suggest purchasing one of those amp kits for $20-$30, makes it a bit easier.

Remote wire

If it is one sub with one amp, one remote needs to be hooked up. Not familar with your exact set up, but should stay constant for all. The remote signals the amp to turn on power when the deck is turned on thats it.

1 wire might be a remote turn on 4 the lost amp. connect a light tester to the ground wire turn on and off the pre amp and see if the light goes on and off 1 might also be a floating ground wire .

Kenwood receiver/sub problem

The amp's remote turn-on wire is probably connected to the blue wire coming from the back of the stereo - this is intended for a power antenna, which is why it only works when listening to the radio. Disconnect it from the blue wire and connect it to the blue/white wire coming from the back of the receiver and you should be good to go.
