Question about Polaroid Televison & Video
I changed the audio output circuit board and the crackling noise is still there. It even crackles when the mute is on
How about the speaker did you tried to check weather the cone get worn out so it has crackling sounds.

Your only solution is to change the sound to mono. Eventually the power supply will go and the tv won't work.

I'm sure you have figured this one out. TV itself is causing the problems.
The circuit board that produces the audio signal seems to be the problem.
Before you call the repairman, go to the web site Shopjimmy.com just to get an idea of what the parts will cost. That way he doesn't rip you off.

First- unplug it, Second- remove the back( can be tricky), Third- follow the AC cord to the power supply board and your there. Look for any Caps that may be bulged and replace them. Sometimes caps can be bad and look ok. Let ame know how you do>
